    Prep: Hot shower, PSO
    Razor: Merkur 34C
    Blade: Astra Superior Stainless (1)
    Brush: Omega 80080 Boar Brush
Soap: The Copper Hat Shaved Ice
Post: Cold rinse, Alum, Witch Hazel, Nivea Sensitive ASB

No picture today. Had a quick 2 pass shave before I had to leave for work.

Excellent blade for the value. I might have to get a 100 pack of Astra blues.

PRESHAVE: Face wash with soap and warm/hot water
RAZOR: ATT R1 plate with MR1 handle
    BLADE: Astra SP (new)
    SOAP: C&E Nomad (old formula/version)
    BOWL: Bonjour mug
    BRUSH: VDH Boar
POST: Rinse with warm/hot water to get soap off and then some cold water rinses/splashes and pat try. Apply Gentleman Jon Alum block and rinse/wash off after a minute or two!

Comments: Shave was very good and very close, I got a DFS shave today without any issues and awful glade I went back to one of my go-to blades that never let me down, always sharp and smooth. Soap was great! I liked the lather, protection and feel throughout the shave and the post shave feel as well. No issues from it at all. No nicks but one small weeper and very slight irritation felt in neck area from the alum block. Very good shave today!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

    Thx.

Been off SOTD lately traveling and such, but so glad to be back on a fave thread! I got eleven great shaves on my first blade this month, and today brings blade two. I have been experimenting with skin stretching techniques and have attained some great results! Gonna switch off the Veg and go old school American Classic for today. AV Musk is barber shop goodness to me!

    Have a great Tuesday Night!

    razor: shaving factory DE
    blade: derby 2nd use
    brush: Omega s synthetic
Soap: Caties Bubbles Saturday Morning (Fruit Loops)
post: Osage Rub, unrefined shea butter, and Masters Bay Rum

went straight from the shower and started shaving. this was my first try with this soap and the scent is amazing. I think I have been spoiling myself on these great products. this may have been the slickest soap I have tried yet. I could go over spots without soap no problem. I have a hard time getting BBS because my growth pattern is weird and if I chase it I get razor burn but it was darn close and I was happy with the results. it feels so nice to get away from the cartridge razors. I wish I would have been told about wet shaving sooner but I am just happy it is part of my life. I used to hate shaving and now it is fun and therapeutic. thanks to the internet people have access to a vast amount of products and knowledge involving wet shaving.

On the safe side as usual with the first test drive tonight and I love this razor more everytime I use it.

    Soap: Jack's Soap

    Old Spice Coffee Mug.
This brush is simply a pleasure to use. It loads up great and has a excellent feel on my face. I soaked the brush for 2 or 3 minutes in warm water before starting. Lathered up very well,I had to add a little water and soap during my shave, but that's just fine with me. I really enjoyed this brush and if you don't have one I would suggest you get one. This brush is a keeper and stays in my rotation for sure.
Captain's Choice Bay Rum is an outstanding A/S. Gillette Platinum blade is doing a fine job. :happy088::happy088:

Jeff, I'm a face latherer and this stuff explodes off the brush! 20 swirls on the jar and I had plenty for a couple of shaves, this soap doesn't dissipate overtime at all. Goodness it should be illegal..

This soap is that darn good. It lathers almost by itself, slick, insane post shave, oh did I say it's cold? Well it is. I was going to use my newly arrived Chiseled Face Cryogen, that'll wait until lather this week. My ER150 is a lather beast!
    Go out and get it

That's terrific news because last year some guys who bought Glacial soaps (even myself) had some difficulty getting them to lather properly. Mind you, my Lemon Chill is from a last year's batch and it lathers beautifully. I also only face-lather and my Lemon Chill buries me in delicious-smelling, frigid lather in less than a minute. Rod's new Glacial soaps are much, much easier to lather than last year's stock- in fact, my Spearmint and Obsidian pucks lather exactly as easily as the Lemon Chill puck I'm using at present. I also find the menthol sensation stronger now than ever before, so that's a bonus! ;)
