A very manly day... Had a great workout at the gym. Survived Home Depot and without wandering around for days, found the doorbell wall units. Got home, replaced old doorbell unit with minimum (tho present) frustration, but no shocks. The mounting isn't the greatest (none of the holes or wire accesses lined up), but It'll do.Will have some touch up painting to do. Made an outstanding meatloaf for dinner, but badly burned the homemade baked potato chips. Then, had the dishwasher back up into the kitchen sink... of course, no plunger to be found. Off to Home Depot agin tomorrow. /sigh. If you don't hear from me, send a search party!
I use to enjoy doing little project around the house until stuff started breaking and I was forced to do stuff lol
I woke up, showered and shaved, then I went to work. Even though I am folded over with back spasms. Stupid WASPish work ethic.
Grilling out for the wife and girls as we speak. Burgers, dogs, Fire King bowl o' beans and a couple sweet potatoes, all on the grill.
I don't want to sound sexist and say "That is truly manly." I will say you are a real woman and very womanly to build it with foam and duct tape. So how is it working?
You are right. Real women can use duct tape as effectively as real men can. And the shelf works very well.
I drank a beer with my neighbour while we discussed the world situation. Doesn't get more manly than that
I packed after The Wife informed me she's booked us at a bed and breakfast in the mountains for Saturday night and Sunday. Kids going to MiL's tomorrow morning, then invited to a cookout with one of her colleagues. All of this came as a surprise to me. As did the apparent fact that North Carolina has mountains?
