Do you all prefer the tub or the tube? I have both and think the tub is slightly different but of coarse it could just be me! :)

I've only used the red (from a tube) once, and I liked it.
I can't hack the green anymore, the formula changed some months back (so I'm told)
and the smell does me in quickly.
I like the white too. (in the tub)
But my favorite by far is the blue tube.
It's just about my #1 winter time soap.
The Aloe and vitamin E is very nice indeed.

If you get on well with the red, by all means stick with it.
Proraso has been around for a long, long time and if
anybody knows shaving soaps, it's Proraso.

    Happy Shaving!! :bounce017:

Tried the Red and sold it on. Big Fan of Proraso but the Sandalwood scent just didn't do it for me.
I've heard the TOBS sandalwood is supposed to be very good as well as the Art of Shaving Sandalwood

AOS Sandalwood is great. It was what I started with; I believe I will always have some in my rotation.

I don't think shaving soap is very moisturizing. it seems in my case anyway that it doesn't matter what the ingredients are I still have to use a splash/balm/USB, or any post shave ritual. I can appreciate things like MWF for putting lanolin in it but I don't find much moisturizing. I do think it adds to the slickness/ glide thou.

for me TBS maca root is the only one i feel is more moisturizing (YMMV)...have a tube of proraso red and have only used it a few times, its not bad but not my fav. either

same here. it was quite good but the scent has me puzzled for some reason... I'm not sure if I hate it or love it. (I get this way with Pinaud Special Reserve as well :)

I just received the Red Preshave from amazon today. It smells great and I can't wait to use it for tomorrow's shave.
