1 cu. all-puropse white flour 1 egg 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 1/2 cu. beer* (link below is what I used, but any beer will do) edit: pinch of salt. (whisk this all together throughly, but gently. Let sit for 2 or 3 minutes before using. Best results if the beer is very cold.) *http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/25191/90101/ I don't like beer (to drink), but this one made a nice batter. Next time I may try a lightly carbonated sake' just for fun. I also might use just a tad less liquid as the batter could have adhered better. Shrimp / fish also needs to be dry for best adherence.
Tomorrow is the big day! Looking forward to starting the new job! It's been an eventful week. TWGW quit her job on Wednesday (same school I was working at), for... reasons. We went to a Night at the Museum event at the local art museum, got to meet Robert E Lee, Maralyn Monroe (vavavoom), and Marie Antoinette, among others. That was neat. Also bought myself a new moto 360. Still learning everything I can do with it. They say it can even tell time!

Been up since 5:40am which for me is early. Now sipping some coffee before a meeting wondering what happened to my plan to be a world famous artist traveling the world, waking up at noon every day and having a groupie du jour.
I went to the optometrist yesterday for my yearly eye exam. I wear reading glasses (sometimes) well I inquired about contact lenses, and my prescription will allow for me to wear contacts! Yes! I go back in two weeks for a fitting and learn how to properly care for them. My insurance will cover the cost of the contacts, I will have no out of pocket expense. After my eye exam I hung out with my youngest son and my two grandkids, we went and had lunch, went by Levi Stadium home of the San Francisco 49ers and the site of Super Bowl 50! A fantastic family day was had! They stayed for dinner, pizza! Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment, I have a cracked tooth! Talk about pain. I've been eating Ibuprofen like they're M&M's. Life is grand!
I'm thinking about buying a new bike. The local shop will give me a decent trade in on one of my current bikes that I don't ride. Today would be great day for a long ride.
I recommend trying out Clear Care peroxide solution for cleaning your contacts. It really helped me out keeping my contacts clean. Just make sure to wait until it's fully neutralized or you will get a little surprise.
