    Brush: Semogue Boar 1305, 22/55
    Gillette - K-4 (1965) Slim Adjustable. (5).
    Gillette Platinum Blade (2)
    Soap: Sterling, Cool
    A/S: The Shave Den, Coconut.
    Old Spice Coffee Mug.(soak brush)
Excellent brush. I find it work no matter what the soap is hard or soft. Doesn't hold water like Badger, but by adding a little water along the way does the trick. haven't had any problems with this brush what some ever. Highly recommended! Gillette adjustable is also a great razor. Work perfectly, just remember to loosen the TTO when adjusting the numbers. First time using Sterling Soap, Cool and I was very happy with it. Not much for smell, but provided a good lather. TSD A/S is a quality product. I'll have to order more.

Here's the game plan for Sunday:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
Super Speed/Derby day 9 (last time for this blade)
Williams Menthol SC :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Gold Bond Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Mennen Skin Bracer AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Never before have I used the same blade longer than a week, so I'd say perhaps I'm pushing it a little but I'm doing it for the sake of curiosity. I also want to see if I could get one more good shave from this Derby. The Williams Menthol cream is great - super lather, a beautiful scent, excellent blade glide, and very cooling, with excellent post-shave care. Unfortunately for me, when this tube is finished I'll have to forget about it because I have no way of getting it again. The Gold Bond/Skin Bracer duo will provide plenty of additional cooling comfort! ;) :D

    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Barbasol Brisk AS

I am using the Gillette President for the first time (Inaugural Shave). It is my newest razor, and I have decided to make it my Sunday driver. The C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC1 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes with my Gillette President razor and a Personna Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. This is going to be a great Sunday tradition. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Barbasol Brisk after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Had a busy day working around the yard today and I really needed a shower & shave.

    Brush: Country Uncle Silvertip w/Proraso
Razor Gillette New LC w/new Derby blade
Rinse: Witch Hazel followed by True Gentlemen Unscented Balm
    AS: Barbasol Pacific Rush

2-passes WTG & ATG (a little touch-up) for a nearly BBS shave! I love the New LC..............

    SATURDAY
    Afternoon Shave
Late day shave after a busy morning! Another superbly-smooth shave from the big Friodur. :love055:
The Valobra soap, although in need of a menthol boost, is a very nice, slick soap that has retention once applied. I like soaps that 'paint on thickly' and remain for the duration of the pass.
Tomorrow's shave I imagine, wil be quite similar to todays...

Horrible tugging shave with a horrible blade. Lots of irritation and a few weepers. May have to heal for a few days. Although the Arko cream works wonders. Soap didn't seam to help much either, good lather though. IDK! 20150523_214546.jpg

Prep: none just went after it
Razor: 1934 Gillette Aristocrat De Luxe

Lather: Beer Soap Brewing Company, Winter Woods
Shave: 3 passes; WTG, XTG, ATG

Nice slick cushion from the Beer Soap lather tonight, broke out the old '34 De Luxe open comb, had a good shave. Good sting from the VI Bay Rum.

    Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: RazoRock One-X croap
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Baili Super Blue (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (3, 4, 5)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS lotion
Cologne: Forest Aoud by Montale (sample)

I gathered up a two-day growth of stubble to feed to the Baili again. The One-X performed very well, though I somehow let it get a little dry on the brush and had to adjust for that. Other than the same first-pass tugging I had on Friday, the RAKE seems to tame the Baili pretty well. . . so well, that I went ahead with the ATG pass for the first time in a couple of weeks. No bloodshed, no irritation to speak of, and my face is pretty close to BBS, with DFS+ results on the throat.

Mastro Livi Inox Grifone, 9/8 Full Hollow, Livi Snake Point

Yet another impeccable shave, yet another luxurious Mastro Livi razor. I must admit I like my RazorGuy Pre Shave Oil quite a lot and I can tell it adds pleasure to pleasure. Not to mention Mastro Livi Inox, super smooth yet effective, with no skin irritation at all. Then a refreshing splash of cold water added to alum block - a pleasure I forgot to use for such a long time and I am glad I am doing this again - my usual post shave oil and then a fragrant splash of this Evolution Ice Line aftershave. Just beautiful!
    • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
    • Soap: Saponeria Artigiana Vegetal Almond
    • Brush: Frank Shaving Synthetic Hair Brush - 22mm knot
    • Bowl: Gerby Bowl
    • Strop: Mastro Livi Loom Strop and Hand Palm
    • Razor: Mastro Livi Inox Grifone, 9/8 Full Hollow, Livi Snake Point
    • Post-Shave: Alum Block
    • Post-Shave: Argan Oil
    • After Shave: Edelstein Evolution Ice Line

No, there's no way the Derby blade will last for tomorrow. It gave me a good shave this morning but I had to struggle a little during my second pass. The Williams Menthol cream is a delight - very, very cooling and soothing with such rich lather. The wife told me I smell like an old geezer when I wear the Skin Bracer! (I love that stuff!)

    Adequate Shave
I tried a New SC for the first time today. It seems a little less forgiving than my New LC. My face feels a little irritated and not as closely shaved as with the FB yesterday.
I also tried a sample of Mickey Lee Grand Havana soap today. I got the sample at the Maggard's meet up last week. I bowl lathered it with The Colonel, and it was a solid lather. I'm out of practice at bowl lathering so I cannot fault the soap at all. The scent is a light tobacco it's pleasant. I finished up with Sherlock to match the tobacco notes and it works well.
    Prep: Mickey Lee Lime
    Soap: Mickey Lee Grand Havana
    Brush: The Colonel
    Razor: Gillette New SC
    Blade: Voskhod (1)
