  3. The last few days i received 2 packages:

    Package 1:
Stirling Soaps...SCENT EXPLOSION!!! I love the Ozark Mountain scent so deeply...it´s my absolute favourite of all scents, no matter which Company or Artisan!!! Curious on the Aftershave Balms. The scent is wonderful. Let´s hope they feel great on the skin.

    Package 2:
Package from Bella Italia...Extro...Aftershave Antica Acqua di Colonia Egypt (very spicey and very oriental-like), Figaro Monsieur Shaving soap (#goldisthenewblack), a Sample of the Antica Acqua di Colonia Italiana (Bergamotte, Citrus, Lime...very refreshing) and now the absolutely best Bay Rum Scent i´ve ever smelled...it´s very very frsh...Oranges, maybe a few Peaches. In the back there is a touch (but just a touch) of Cinnamon and far far far in the back you can smell the clove. Heavenly!!!

    Greetings
    Thorsten
  4. Great find. That looks in great shape too. It was actually my first acquisition, but it wasn't until years later that I realized what a find it was. Mine came with a nickel blade bank not original to the razor.

  5. Yeah. I have to find the bank. I have a couple of banks, but would like to see if I can find one around that time frame. :)

  6. I know, hiatus and all, but...

A few weeks ago I asked the pharmacy manager at my local grocer to see about carrying a product for me...and he did!

So...if you live in a place that has a Kroger affiliated store, you may be able to get Florida Water locally. Pretax price was US$3.79! The Veg may have a competitor...
  7. Is that bay rum expensive?
  8. I don´t find it expensive...125ml for 8,80€. I find that not too much. You can order your things here:

    EXTRO (donato.ciniello@libero.it)

There are about 20 different scents of Aftershaves available. One of it with Menthol. It´s called "Sottozero".

    Benzylalkohol, Courmaryn, Geraniol, Hidroxycitronellal, Linalool.

Donato is known in Italy very well...you can get the Figaro Monsieur Soap there too.

    Hope i could help. :)

  9. I have seen the bottles before. They are intriguing.

What was shipping to Germany? Should be almost the same to sweden

    I don't understand that webbsite
  10. I feel all the symptoms coming on Doc, I think I've got the fever!

I finally succumbed. I've really enjoyed myself over my first month scoping traditional shaving and look forward to living it and whatever comes with it...

    ...including all the ADs!

Here's the first delivery of a few vintage razors coming my way. The first razor I started using this month was a Gillette Tech fat handle. Though poor quality cosmetically, I found it shaves nicely. So I decided to find one that pleases both my face and my eyes.

My Gold Tech came in the mail Saturday and I enjoyed my first shave with it Sunday.

  13. This arrived this weekend. An Ever Ready 1912 made in about 1930 (I think )
I tried it out today and I was really impressed. It's a bit heavier than I imagined it to be, and it's wonderful to look at. It just looks like a really well made object. Aesthetically speaking this is one of my favourite razors alongside the Pils.
I had a great first shave. I just need a few days to get the angle right. Not bad for $5 on the bay.

Cleaned up beautiful! Just soap scum, no rust! And yes, the brush is broke, but the scuttle is perfect.
  18. Wow, can't believe how nicely that Schick cleaned up!
    Fantastic razors aren't they?
