    Childishly excited about this.
James finished my razor earlier today and will be shipping it out tomorrow.

    Details:

    Head
Dual/Combo head OC and SB in brushed, stainless steel
Note: Had the head made a bit more aggressive than how they normally come.
(I love that 'ordering how aggressive it will be' is an option. Feels very custom).

    Handle
The new WRH7 handle also in brushed, stainless steel.

    James' photos:

Nice long, ergonomic handle with the Wolfman logos visible under the head.

The Handle looks nice. The Cap Looks good. I don't know if I could or would like the Base Plate . But then again you can't please everyone. I really don't like Open Comb, and I have never used one. So I really can not judge them. Looks interesting though. I will wait in anticipation to read your reviews.

Nice choice! I have that one and like it. I am curious about the "aggressiveness to order" thing! I am not sure if others would agree but I put the aggressiveness of it somewhere between the ATT R1 and H1 plate but much more efficient and smoother.

How aggressive did you order it and how will you know you will like at that setting without trying it out in "stock" form first? Did you go by blade exposure or gap?

I will be following this thread and can wait to hear your comments and reviews on it.

    Thx.

The way James described it was that w/out any customization he'd rate the razor a 4-5 on a Gillette Slim as far as aggressive goes.
I've heard from others that they think that's a low estimate though.
I asked him to bump it up a little bit to 'a 7' on a Slim so we'll see how that feels.

The amazing thing about Wolfman is that you can request these sort of customizations and he will still honor a 30 day money back if you are not completely satisfied.

I'll be sure to post how the shave goes :)

Congrats. I am on the waiting list and still trying to decide between the polished and satin. I look forward to your thoughts on the razor.

I never tried a Slim so not sure how to compare settings to like the ATT plates or others like the Gillette Red Tip, iKon OSS or the Muhle R41 that I have tried. I am gonna have to check into that more! How does James know what the Slim setting 7 is at? Will he know the blade gaps or whatever he uses for settings on the ATT plates?

Where does the Wolfman fall in some of these aggressiveness and blade gap charts floating around that compares to other razors? I found the Wolfman to be between the R1 and H1 and closer to the H1 side then the R1 side but more efficient and smoother! Maybe I need more than a few shaves in to it to get a better idea where it fits into the realm of things!

I am sssuming that that all the Wolfman plates are gonna be similar in aggression but I find the OC a little more aggressive but not by much. So I am interested in this idea of changing them as I have all three of the Wolfman head sets, the OC, the SB and the DC so maybe I can make them a bit different like my own ATT setup. So I need to see where the H1 plate falls as that was my daily driver and maybe get the SB set to those specs.

I would like to have different degrees of shaves as with the three heads and I like the more aggressive razors too so maybe like an ATT R1 and H1 spec setup and then maybe one even more than the H1. I would like to hear ideas on this.

    Thx.

I assume that it's just a matter of reference - meaning "bump mine up to Slim 7" is equivalent of saying "make it 25% more aggressive than the default".
I don't think there's any deeper science than that behind it

Having said that, James is very good at emails and explaining things (I swear we went back and forth 10+ times on handle and head....) so I say reach out to him and see what he can do in terms of aggressiveness and how to explain it [better than I can] :)

Just going by blade gap alone and not exposure alone the Wolfman should be very close to an R1/R2. James list the blade gap at 0.61mm with a neutral exposure. The R1/R2 is listed on ATT website at 0.58mm while the H1 is 0.91mm. I realize that blade gap is not the sole defining variable for how aggressive a razor shaves but it is the only readily available measurement I could find.

I am going to just go with the stock setup and if needed send it back to James for adjustment as needed.

Do you know the head/handle combo/finish you're getting?
