1. I have ASAD, it's the only AD with which I am still afflicted. If it's something I even like the sound of, I'm buying it. Currently, my favorite "uncommon" aftershave is Alpa 378 out of the Czech Republic.

Who else has an affliction for unusual aftershave?

  2. If you're in the market for ASBs as well I can fully recommend Anherb.
Nice sandalwood scent, slightly mentholated and it feels fantastic.
I believe there are a handful of other Anherb-lovers on this site :)

Easiest way to get it is from eBay where there is normally a vendor in India who sells them for about $12/bottle or so w/ free shipping.

  3. I also have ASAD I have never heard of Alpha 378 but I looked it up and it sounds interesting. one of the harder to find aftershaves I have is Hi Karate but a lot of my favorites are cheap and easy to find like Stephan's Island Lime. it has quickly earned a spot in my den. Alt Insbruck is another one that seems to get a lot of love.
  4. I am not sure if this qualifies but I do love it.

  5. +1 on Myrsol products!

    I've tried;
    - Blue,
    - Agua Balsamica,
    - Plastic Shave, and
    - Emulsion.

I think Plastic Shave is my No 1 though.

  6. I've been bummed by my last couple AS purchases so I am not in the market at the moment. It is however brush season as I seem to have a few of those purchased in the past month.
  7. Oh, I've bought a few I wouldn't even PIF.
  8. Ah yes, The Plastic.

  11. Myrsol Plastic Shave
Another great performer by Myrsol. Leaves the skin feeling great. More of a 'tonic' than a simple splash. The fragrance is intriguing. Imagine a pristine and freshly printed TV Guide, resting atop a warm black and white TV broadcasting The CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite. On your end table, beside your EZ chair, is a box of Smith Brothers Wild Cherry Cough Drops. This is Myrsol Plastic Shave.

    From one of my reviews.

  12. Tarr Super from Romania is my weapon of choice. It's dirty cheap, less than $2 for 150 ml, the smell is pleasant, and it does not last long (after around 20 minutes is gone), so it's perfect for using it if you want to wear cologne. The recipe is based on the AS used by German troops in WW2, named Tarr too. Perfect for me, as i wear perfume/eau de toilette and i like some that don't have after shave variants.

  13. I just spent $30 with Garry's Samples

    Again.

This round is the entire Myrsol lineup and the entire Pitralon lineup as well.

    I love samples.

  14. Bey Shave aftershave is great. I just ordered another bottle yesterday.
  15. Im a big fan of the Myrsol products. Somehow I missed Formula K when I made my "one of everything" order from Spain. My asad will force me to purchase it.
  16. I am having a real tough time deciding a favorite. They are all fantastic performance wise.
  17. I really like Layrite No 9 AS and don't recall anyone else mentioning it here.

  18. The Royall Lime sampler pack is great. One of the four is a cologne, the rest are AS.
  19. What about Hoppe's #9?

That'll get the women flocking to ya.
  20. Shop Rite menthol. It's a $1.99 for 7 ounces. I like it too. Supermarket brands must be uncommon.

I ride a bus to work every day and this morning the passenger next to me commented on the stench. Hmmm...
