I used two razors today. I am a little weird like that
    Kropp Sheffield 6/8
Revisor with an Asian shaped spine, short blade
Le Pere Lucien with a dab of DR Harris Lavender
    Floid Blue
just a damned fine shave today all the way around

Very nice, just looking at it makes me want to shave with it.

    6/8 Gong
    TOBS Sandalwood SS
    homemade badger

This brush is very dense and a nasty shedder. Well, I'll keep combing and see which I run out of first, patience or hair. Coticule edge again and a very nice shave. Have a good one.

It's a great shaver, if you watch out for that spike. It's only one I've seen. The shave was good, but the edge needs a touchup.

I'm in the process of putting some new scales on this one (kinda ATOR style). I'll pin it and polish it when I get the chance. Nice shave today, have a good one. BTW, sounds like my shoulder is toast so I'm going to be limited as to what I can do for awhile.

Love the transparent scales, they photograph beautifully! Are you doing something similar with new scales?

Love getting older and wiser but the old saying " the mind is willing but the body is weak " starts to make sense!! I still attempt to accomplish things like I'm 18 but by the end of the day I pay the price! Lots of aches and pains but it beats sitting around waiting for the grim reaper! Lol!
They gonna try to fix you up ( surgery )? Best of luck to ya and my thoughts and prayers are with ya!

I recently acquired an old C-Mon Blackie. This morning I pulled it out. I used my jeans as a strop, and ran it on an Arkansas Hard stone to remove minor nicks. No pre- shave oil....Simpson best badger brush, A.O.S Lavender shave soap......

OMG. I love this razor. Last time I used a straight blade to shave was 20 years ago...Buck 105 hunting knife, dry shave...
I was thinking of getting a new razor, think I'll send this off, have horn scales replace the celluloid ones on it, have it honed and polished. I have found bliss.
It's not as close as my Muhle R89 DE, and I did have to use the DE for jaw line and chin line, but like I said, this is the first time I've used a straight blade in 20 years.

I'm sure you would find it difficult to find a better example maybe one as good but I doubt if you could find a better Duck. :)

I'm thinking of putting blond horn scales on mine. Keeping same color just more sturdy

The scale in the photo are new just a little rough. They need to be pinned, a little more fine sanding then buffing.
