    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Rituals Samurai Bamboo and Wakame foaming face wash

    Soap/cream- Barrister and Mann Lime/lavender/cedarwood

    Brush- Plisson synthetic

    Razor- Merkur 37c

    Blade- Astra SP

Post- Cold water rinse, Speick aftershave lotion and Maca Root razor relief aftershave balm(sample)

It was a while since I used B&M, last time I used it I got a mediocre shave, but I figured out that I had loaded to little soap. This time I loaded liberally, and guess what? Very good lather =D I got a really nice shave

@Slow Joe I got nice slickness, but its not the slickest ever. It doesn’t leave the face slick after a pass. But its still a nice shave, I would definitely buy BM.

A much better shave this morning. The drugs for my back helped with the worst of the pain compared to the last several days. Accordingly, I was able to better concentrate on the on my technique with the razor. Paying attention to the angle, I went with a 3 pass shave put altered it just below my chin to go XTG in the opposite direction instead of ATG. Still had some residual irritation left from yesterday. Not near a BBS result but more than acceptable. The last couple of shaves have been humbling since my previous results were much better. Finished off with the shave with some Myrsol F/Extra and I am ready for the day.

After yesterday's good quality but somehow lacking shave, this injector really hit the spot. I recently sent injectors to a couple of guys and explained to them how they were the sports cars of the wetshaving world. You should not expect the comfort of a luxury sedan, but just enjoy the heck out of road-hugging, quick handling.

Zippity-zip! Pass one. Zappity-zap! Pass two and smooth! Snickity! Trouble spots dispatched... and BBS. Yeah, baby! That's some performance, right there.

It has been so long since I drove this J1 that I am not sure which blade is in it or how many shaves it has. I may change it out just to clear the slate. However, this was so fun that it may be time to put my Schick adjustable through its paces. I don't know that I've ever changed the setting.

Hmm... I doubt I'll commit to a 30-day, but a week or two seems in order. I need to at least find my preferred setting!

Mastro Livi Perugia 13.12.14, 15/16 Full Hollow, Spanish Point

This is a very special Mastro Livi razor. It is a limited edition made by Mastro Livi in occasion of the first meeting held in Perugia on 13 december 2014 and there are just three of them. I am one of the lucky owners and I am very happy I am one of the privileged ones. The blade is made from Inox steel and it is a super performing razor, always giving a very deep and close shave, an absolutely superior shave. The stainless steel Mastro Livi used for this razor - it is the very same he uses for his Grifetto - is amazing: deep and intense like stainless steel, smooth and velvety like a carbon steel.

Brush: Fuller Amber Badger 1920s -1940s

Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Nivea Men Post Shave Balm, Halston Z-14 cologne
Whipped up a thumb nail size dollop of the TOBS in my favorite mug with the Badger. My favorite daily driver the FB is hard to put away for another razor, because it shaves me so well. It's weight does all the work. WTG XTG on my face and neck on 5. ATG on my neck on 3. Nice and slick and with my FB on 3 for my neck I can buff a little on the hard to get to spots for a very nice smooth shave. Great cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing Nivea. After cleanup some Halston Z-14 cologne. Have a good one y'all.

    Tuesday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Stirling Glacial Obsidian
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Bic (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (1, 2, 3)
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Myrsol Metilsol AS splash
    Cologne: Burberry Brit by Burberry

After yesterday's difficulties in getting good lather from Stirling, I decided to make June my Stirling Focus month (I reserve the right to keep Speick Saturdays, should I shave on Saturdays). I also wanted to try out my first Myrsol, the Metilsol. I face-lathered today, despite generally having better luck with Stirling and bowl-lathering. My lather was better than yesterday, and better than I usually get face-lathering with Stirling, so hopefully by the month's end I'll have it mastered. The new Bic in the RAKE was buttery smooth, getting through 3 passes without any issues. Because Metilsol has potassium alum in it, I skipped the Bloc Osma alum application, which made it a little trickier to be sure the lather was fully rinsed off, to my senses. The Metilsol smells of thyme with a medicinal tone that isn't unpleasant, doesn't especially have a menthol kick (after the Glacial, anyway) and otherwise left my face feeling very nice and soft. DFS+ results, I'd say.
