  3. Thanks. I've got to read up on how to use it. It cleaned up great. I'll post more pics when I get done. Trying the baking soda method for the silver razor.
  4. Warning!!! A lot of pics!

Here is the razors that the wife got me after cleaning.

This is a Type G8. Cleaned up decently. Nice razor.

The Goodwill has very good plating. 2 cracks on the handle that I'm going to try and mend. Haven't played with the Marine Epoxy yet, but have some ordered.
    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
Now to the silver Old Type. It was very tarnished... Black.

This is after 2 Backing Soda baths and MAAS...

So, there is a yellow tent to it. You can see it beside my silver singe ring the difference.

Does it need another bath or more polish? Or some just change color over time?
  5. Great results in general but I'm loving that Gillette Old style. Nice!

  6. That is silver right? So it looks good how it is?

  7. I think the vanilla is my favorite Pinaud product. the Citrus Musk is quite decent and I would recommend checking it out. the Special Reserve is very strong stuff. it has a very complex scent with leather, woodsy floral notes. not bad but you don't want to over apply this stuff. pretty much all of the Pinaud products have a good following but I like some more than others.

  13. Got my 1922 Bostonian in!!! Very good condition. Just a few minor spots with a very small hair line crack. The box functions great. Open the lid and the razor rises to meet you. Haha
In my opinion, one of the best looking razors i have. In design and feel. These Bostonians are beauties!!!

So should I try and clean it all up myself, or send it to Razor Emporium for their cleaning?

  16. New Stirling Order-I had to try the summer "Island Man" shave soap. You can't order "just one". I also added a bar each of Executive Man and Island Man bath soaps. Rod & Mandy included a sample of Almond Cream bath soap with the order!

  17. I like the looks of that Bostonian. I bet that will make for a great shave.

  18. My WSP Tobacco aftershave arrived this morning, first impression is it's not very strong. I'll need to use it tomorrow to see how it is.

  19. Tobacco huh? I am not a smoker so I don't see the attraction. Might just be my inexperience but if you like it... :happy036:

  20. I'm not a smoker either. It doesn't smell like a pack of smokes.
Handcrafted in small batches using only five ingredients. Our Rustic Aftershave is designed to tighten, moisturize, & soothe your skin. It also pulls double duty as a cologne strength aftershave! Pairs perfectly with our matching shaving soap!

We started with notes of cured tobacco for the base, and added top notes of bay leaf, and fir to create an intoxicating blend of tobacco and bay leaf.
