Another week is about to start - here are my shaving plans!

    Menthol Monday:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/new Derby
Stirling Glacial Spearmint SS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Just thinking about this shave is enough to make me start feeling cold, because every item is darned chilly. The Neutrogena face wash has plenty of menthol in it, this newest version of Glacial Spearmint is a bona fide face-freezer with much better lather, as well as perfect skincare. The Gold Bond is also very icy and the Rubby Dubby Doo hits like ten tons of frigid bricks! ;) :D

    Dove Men Face Wash
    TOBS Grapefruit
    Olivewood WD Silvertip
    Gillette Black Tip SS
    Rapira Platinum Lux
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Pinaud Clubman AS

The TOBS Grapefruit Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Olivewood WD Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes with my Gillette Black Tip razor and a Rapira Platinum Lux blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    June 8 Plans

    MdC facial soap
    Muhle R41 (2013)
    Feather blade (day 2)
    Omega Pro 98 boar brush
    D.R. Harris Almond shave cream
    Two passes plus touch-ups
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Nivea Sensitive Post-Shave balm

Wow! The R41 loaded with a new Feather blade provided a terrific first shave today. Compared to my other DE's, I was more aware of the blade edge moving across my face. I had no irritation, but I felt a slight stinging sensation for maybe 30 minutes afterward. I look forward to tomorrow's shave. My goal is to achieve close, comfortable, and nick-free two-pass shaves with this wolf in sheep's clothing during June.

    Have a great week!

    Outstanding menthol Monday
Tranquility and the lather monster teamed up for some amazing yogurt smooth and slick protection today. The Fatboy glided effortlessly, removing stubble without a hint of drama. For some reason, my face felt more moisturized than usual. I don't know if it's the humid weather or if I put on more pre shave oil or if the soap just got better, but I didn't really need an aftershave. I used one anyway, since I wanted a menthol cool, which Krampert's Frostbite provided very nicely.
    Prep: Mickey Lee Lime
    Soap: Reef Point Tranquility
    Brush: HIS XL
    Razor: 1959 Gillette Fatboy 9/9/7
    Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock yellow (3)
    AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite

Fantastic 3 pass BBS shave this morning. I really enjoyed using my New LC last week. However, I feel like I like using this one even more. Catie's Bubbles as always was super easy to lather. Finished off with CC Sandalwood and I'm ready for the day. My appointment with the Orthopedic about my back got moved up to today. Let's see what he has to say.

I feel sick as a dog - woke up with some fever. I still had a very enjoyable and close shave with the Glacial Spearmint soap which provided such a powerful menthol effect that made me feel cooler and better, so menthol definitely has a beneficial effect. The Rubby Dubby Doo added its own special freezing sensation as well.

    Menthol Monday

I decided to use menthol today, as I woke with a bit of a stuffed nose. I can breath better than normally now after the shave. I mixed L'Occitane Cade and Stirling Glacial Obsidian in cold water for a magnificent shave. Cold water just seems to add a little extra punch to the menthol. I wanted to go for a fourth pass this morning, but there was no need, so I stuck with 3 and am very pleased. 3 passes and very smooth.

    6/08/15 - A Month of Proraso!!!

In 1921 Gillette started making a Single Ring and Old Type with a thicker head and cap. I've seen it called a Model 102A.
This is one of those. A great shaver. Light and nimble and it didn't seem so inclined to bite like my 1918 Old Type. Provided a clean BBS Shave.

Nice cool refreshing shave. A couple drops of the M-Bomb on the Dr. Selby and added menthol to the Florida Water made for a great start to the day. Felt strange to use a DE again but a nice shave was had.

    6/8/2015 Menthol Monday!! Woo Hoo!!

Welcome to Menthol Monday! The Cryogen whipped up nicely with the #6 brush. There was enough freezing lather for at least 6 passes. The Boker and the R101 did a great job. The Osage Rub and the Aqua H2O were a fine finish to this cold shave.

    Have a blessed day!
