Whether I should or shouldn't have, I did anyway. I bought a Muhle and some discontinued/discounted aftershave gel from AOS. I hated the price of the Muhle but the handle felt so good in my hand, a little longer, bigger around and balanced from head to tail. So I splurged. Also, the gel "is for summer" and doesn't leave an oily or greasy residue from sweating, etc. So I was told. It did absorb in to my hand/skin nicely.
My wifey just came back from the dollar store, she bought me this shaving cream and balm. The cream smells halfway decent. Worse case scenario I'll repurpose the jar.
It was like water, it wouldn't lather at all. I thought about using it as a hand soap. It was a $1. I like the jar and have a need for one right now.
I have really got to get back home and finish my vacation. Spending too much at new-to-me antique stores. On the plus side, it stuff I haven't seen where I'm at. But on the down side, prices vary by region, a lot. The Barber Shop mug has a brand new soap puck in it with the barber hop logo embossed in it. The brush is a 3 best badger, made in England. The scuttle says Burleigh Ironstone, Staffordshire England. And its brush is Avon. I have late 40s SS but this one has a back tip. And this is my first red tip (to go with my blue tip). I had no idea the handle was so much heavier. Feels nice. And I have no idea why I'm buying straights, but I am... The solid brown is a "Beaver Brand" and the wood grain one is Genco.
Just received. I won the Memorial Day PIF by @sonnyrsg , and I was surprised by its arrival today. Three soaps, 10 blades, and two very nice boar brushes. Love it.
Lol, ya.. I kept telling him to move but you know how that goes with cats. He outlasted my patience so I just took the photo.
