    Dove Men Face Wash
    Proraso Green Shaving Soap
    Semogue 1800 Boar
    Gillette Black Handle SS
    Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Clubman

The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Semogue 1800 Boar brush. Two passes with my Gillette Black Handle SS razor and a Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Thanks! It was my first vintage razor. I got it 1 year ago this month. It's my favorite razor to shave with.

    RAZOR: MAGGARD 18C
    BLADE: LORD (5TH USE)
    BRUSH: OMEGA S SYNTHETIC
    SOAP: MAMA BEARS BRITTISH LEATHER
POST: F&C BLACK POWDER FOLLOWED BY GOLD BOND LOTION

had a great shave today. took a shower with a bath bar sample of Island Man. great pina colada type scent and for a bar soap it was excellent. I will have to get a full bar when this is gone. washed face with Noxema. 3 pass DFS. I have heard a lot of people saying that mama bears soap burns their face. the good news is that it seemed to be fine for me. I was quite surprised how thick of a lather produced from a glycerin soap. this is defiantly the last shave with this blade. The F&C added a little menthol as well as the Gold Bond. Hope everyone has a great shave!!

World Tournament of Blades - Russia vs. the World!!
    June 18, 2015
Prep - Hot shower and towel
    Brush - Vie Long 12705
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Razor - Edwin Jagger DE89L
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Post - Alum, Nivea Balm

Back to Russia to start the Elite Eight! It's the mighty Voskhod on its second run, matching up against the other Teflon Titan the Gillette Silver Blue. I first compared these two back at the end of January and have used them since. The Voskhod normally squeaks out a win but barely. They are very close to one another. So, let's see what happens. Just for clarity I am using the same blades as the Sweet Sixteen round, so these are on their second shaves. Longevity does count as well.

Saddled the horse with the Fat and man oh man that's a great way to start a day. I think my SAD is under control thanks to MWF and Tabac. Just doesn't get better than either of those in my opinion. Great lather and a great first pass. Very smooth, blade is still sharp, efficient and harmless. Second pass XTG and the face is done! BBS. The neck...still not there but I could stop with a DFS. Decided that the stakes are high enough I need to chase the baby at least a bit. Lathered for a third neck pass and did an XTG followed by G-Slides. Checked, one minor spot left where it usually is so I buffed just a bit. Cold water rinse and the alum. Yeah, I thought so. Irritation was a little higher than normal. I probably shouldn't have chased. However, it wasn't horrible by a long shot.

Scoring - Sharpness, still a 1. Smoothness, still a 1. Irritation, well, let's be honest I created it a bit but I have to give it a 2. Result? BBS so a 1.

Total - 5 Same as round one where I had less irritation but a DFS. I'm thinking this is the best the blade may be able to do with, after all, is very good.

So a 5 into the GSB's turn. It scored a 5 in the first round as well, and in the same way the Voskhod just did. This could be close folks. Figuring out how to break the tie if I need to. I love these two blades and the way they always make me wonder which is best.

Friday morning - a nice shave and some awesome music!

    The shave will be:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/Derby day 3
Stirling Glacial Spearmint SS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Gold Bond Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Alcolado Glacial Menthol Splash :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Chabrawichi 555 Cologne

Oh boy, am I ever going to freeze my face off and have a ton of fun while doing so. The Glacial Spearmint soap has a truckload of menthol in it and its lather explodes off my brush now. This is the newest version, and the scent is so delightful. The skincare of this soap is unbeatable as well. The Gold Bond is also a must-have for me at all times, and so is the Penguin. I'll be using my Super Speed which has proven itself to be so reliable it always delivers on the closeness and comfort. I'm so happy because I have a brand-new box of Derby blades. ;) :D

Have a great weekend in advance! :)

    Now, here's some awesome music!

but it feels very soothing in this humidity and heat.

Prep: Hot facecloth followed by homemade lavender pre-shave oil
    Soap: Proraso White
    Razor: Gillette Tech “Fat Handle”
    Blade: Astra
    Brush: Omega Boar Bristle
Aftershave: Hot facecloth followed by Lavender Witch Hazel
    Aftershave balm: Shea butter
    Mustache Wax: Badger

This is my second shave with the “Fat Handle” and again I am impressed with how efficiently this razor performs. The Fat Handle with the Astra blade and Proraso White are a nice combination and once again produced a close shave. No nicks or weepers. I can't think of a better way to start a Friday morning…;)
