    '53 Super Speed
    Gillette Black (1)
    Shavemac Americana prototype (No. 8/10)
    Mike's Barbershop scent
    Floid Blue

I'm really loving my '53 SS right now. I found it in my dad's garage unused in its case so I made sure to take that before he threw it away or sold it in a garage sale. It's not often we find an unused '53 anything, especially for free.

It's going to a busy, hot, and humid day so I went with the more "summery" barbershop scents.

Nice easy smooth shave today with Tabac, as usual. I made überlather with Tabac soap and cream, which the HIS made into yogurt in no time. Der vorschlaghammer dealt harshly with my stubble, but cleanly and softly with my face. Sherlock makes an excellent pair with Tabac and gives me a nice cool.
    Prep: Mickey Lee Lime
    Überlather: Tabac mit Tabac
    Brush: HIS XL
    Razor: der vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Astra SP (1)
    AS: Chiseled Face Sherlock

So I got Lilac Vegetal in the mail yesterday. Powdery with floral notes. Usually wouldn't be my first pick. I got it because I'm always looking for a good match up with MWF.
A whiff from the bottle, I figured I wouldn't like. I threw it on after my shave and a couple hours later it's grown on me. I like it!

When I first threw it on I thought of my Grandmother, who lived a good long life and passed away at 104. So that was a good thought. But then wondered if it's more a woman's scent. But after a while I picked manly. I like it. So it's definantly manly!!!

I moved back to the Slim Adjustable after a few days with the Fat Boy. The Fat Boy is nice, but I do prefer the slim. 3 passes today and very smooth.

today's shave was very nice. I've been incorporating a wash cloth into my prep. while a small thing I think it adds to the shave enough to mention it. I prepped my razor with my drygulch custom strop. then n/s and s/n with the Dovo. against with yesterday's fatboy. three passes for a nice dfs shave. finished with renewal balm.
hope y'all did as well, or better.

Great shave today. 3 pass BBS. the Sterling Glacial lemon soap was about as cold as the soaps I added menthol crystals to which is awesome! I have been cold water shaving this month and It seems like I have had less irritation. the Island Lime is one of my favorite aftershaves and the menthol was a nice touch. hope everyone has a great shave. stay frosty my friends!

    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Anna and Claras sandalwood bath soap

Soap/cream- Cyril R. Salter Wild rose and Nivea original shaving cream

    Brush- Semogue 1470

    Razor- Merkur 37c

    Blade- Wilkinson sword(3)

Post- Cold water rinse, Pinaud clubman Original aftershave lotion and Nivea sensitive cooling aftershave balm

Bowl lathered my cream. I have realised it works very good to bowl lather with my semogue. Face lathering havent worked very good.

The lather with the Cyril was to foamy, as soon as it touched my skin it dissipated. It's my fault, I loaded to little cream. I added the Nivea to make a better lather and it was very good.

Third shave with the wilkinson sword, I usually don't go for a third shave but I felt I could with this blade. And sure enough I got a great shave! I like these blades. I will use up the 5 pack to see how well they perform. @Slow Joe I think these could be one of my Go2 =D

I like this bath soap, I think it's Danish, I'm not surez I bought it in a store in Sweden.

    Muhle R41 (2013)
    Feather blade (day 3)
    Omega Pro 98 boar brush
    D.R. Harris Almond shave cream
    Two passes
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Nivea Sensitive Post-Shave Balm

I've had some great shaves this week. I'm getting too confident, though, with this set up as I've had a couple of nicks due to inattention. I need to slow down, focus on my technique, and enjoy the ride. I tell myself that even though my technique is pretty good, it just takes one wrong move to have a really bad day.

I have a Semogue 830 boar brush on the way. I've heard some good things about it. It will be fun to compare it to my Omega Pro 98, which I really enjoy using. I hope you all have a super weekend.

    Saturday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Soap: Speick cream
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (5, 6)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Speick AS splash
    Cologne: Forest Aoud by Montale

As promised, a rare-for-me Saturday shave was a break from the Stirling, and back to the Speick. Love the lather I get from this cream; it felt like a vacation. 2 passes produced DFS results.
