The TOBS St. James Collection Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Omega 11137 Boar brush. Two passes with my Gillette Old Type razor and a Voskhod blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Mongoose Shave #7

Warm Shower, Mystic Water Soap - Yemaya, Neutrogena Face Wash
    Mongoose with Jurgen Hempel SS
    Kai CT Mild #7
    Rubberset 400 – 3 Boar
MDC Le Bol En Bois – Fougere
Alum Block, Stirling Black Ice Witch Hazel, Unrefined Shea Butter
    Floid SE Mentolado Vigoroso

This was the last shave with the Kai Mild blade after a tiny flea bite on the chin. The Mystic Water Bath Soap is pleasantly scented and has great moisturizing. Yemaya includes a combination of Sea Salt, coconut oil, and Shea butter. Ended my shower with the Neutrogena Face Wash, which left my face cool and refreshed. The Rubberset 400 performed as required, whipping up a thick n' slick mountain of lightly fougere scented lather in a jiffy. MDC is one outstanding performer. The goose performed comfortably and efficiently today. I used combination of AGT and XGT on two passes again today. The alum proved this a very close BBS shave. Tomorrow will be shave #1 with the Feather Pro blade. Ended the shave with Alum, icy witch hazel, and UO Shea Butter. Top’d it all off with a generous splashing of Floid Vigoroso. :happy005:

Been awhile since I posted. Had a great shave tonight. A bit bittersweet as I shaved my Van Dyke off. I was only 2 months in but I really liked it.....LOTH did not.

Recently an Australian forum member and myself exchanged PM's concerning a razor set he purchased that wasn't one he enjoyed shaving with. Sadly that happens. He indicated he was going to sell it and it is now my SOTD. The set is in such beautiful condition.

    Brush Omega
    Soap - mine
    Scuttle Crabtree and Evelyn
    Razor GEM Jewel

I cannot describe the feeling from this razor on first contact. GEM SS blades are sharp but this razor made the blade feel as if it was 10x's sharper and oh so close to the skin. I found it made the MMOC feel dull :)

The angle of this head was different to my other SE razors and I tentatively took a very short stroke but soon fell into the correct angle. It certainly is an aggressive razor but what a shave. The head design is just superb and the handle - well it looks pretty. I found it a bit slippery but this was only my first outing. The good thing I have many more shaves ahead to get used to it.
Today's shave was 1 pass [seriously :) with a couple of minor touch ups] and DFS/BBS

I told my wife I no longer needed to search for razors now. Between fits of laughter and getting up off the floor she said "Sure, yes , of course :) "
    I couldn't be happier.

    tolle Tabacstag!
This shave was terrific in every way. Tabac simply never fails, and the überlather combination of the cream and soap cannot be beat. The Colonel acted like it is made for this soap. I forgot to dial down with my Fatboy, so I used a 9/9/7 progression, but I still got an easy close shave without drama. Chiseled Face is a nice compliment to Tabac and provides I pleasant menthol cool as it dries down. The scent lingers for a few hours while never overwhelming.
On to day two of the conference.

It was either this Shaving Cream or the TTO, but had irritation at the end of the shave. I kind of doubt it was the cream. TTO's just don't like me. It was a surprise I got 3 straight shaves out of the Aristo. I usually can only do 1 or 2 with other TTO's.
