Yeah, they've had a great reputation for the 5-6 years or so they were in business. Happy retirement too him though!
Always had New Forest on my radar, but never pulled the trigger. Day before "No Buy July," planets are in correct alignment, and the price is too good to pass up. Got a New Forest High Mountain on the way (hopefully). I'm sorry to see him close up shop. Never heard anything but good things about New Forest.
I keep going back and forth..should I...should....? Got a few more hours to make up my mind.... $23 for the High Mountain one - with free shipping - is very tempting....
Sigh...$23 shipped is such a great price - especially for the last opportunity to truly buy it new - but I so don't need a brush...
This brush...the Standard razor....both...or none.....? No! Be strong - NONE! But..but...it's free shipping on both items....and the New Forest guy is going out of business. They will be really har... You have FOUR brushes already! No! The standard razor...almost half price and free shipping...everyone who has one says they love it. Maybe I shou.... NO! [Sighs. Goes and gets a latte. This sunny California day now seems gray and dull. No new brush. No new razor. I really dislike 'sensible me'. Gonna push him over a cliff one day].
...Says the guy with, what, 30 vintage razors you haven't even tried yet? At least your BAD isn't as bad as your RAD. If you buy the brush, you could be using it next month. If you buy the razor, you wont try it until next year...
Never did try his brushes but he earned a great reputation over the five or so years he was in business. In the end what held me back from buying one was the handle options...had he had a brown, marbled chubby left I would had gone for one
Thank God I bought it in June, when this thread was posted. Anyways, the brushes are all gone, and the shop is closed.
