I would had bid on this pretty thing: 2) I also would had bought the New Forest High Mountain badger brush for $23 shipped July "savings" so far: Approx $50 What have YOU deliberately not bough because you're taking part of NBJ?
Yeah, not sure why I look at my watchlist on eBay - better to just shut it down. Then again, I also enjoy seeing what things sell for so that I stay up to date with prices. So far haven't felt weakened by anything I've seen and it's already July 2nd. I can do this
Nothing so far. The key for me in NBJ is to stay off Ebay, and try not to scan the BST threads. Then I might stand an outside chance of surviving NBJ.
We can do it. I've really got all and more than I really need. There are a few wants, but they can really wait until next year. For sure, I can get through July. I really do need to get a PIF up sometime in July though.
NBJ has spared me the cost of purchasing this fine vintage example from the Bresduck company... The seller states the blade "..has some wear." This is comparable to stating ebay has sellers pushing products with 'some questionable descriptions.'
You knew about the NF brushes two days before July. You even mentally indulged in self-flagellation over it. You can't say NBJ prevented a purchase. Heck, you were the one to post that thread! http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/new-forest-brushes-co-closing-doors.45748/
I know but I kept going back and forth on it. There's a chance I would had gotten one. Guess we'll never know. I hope you'll enjoy yours though!
Does stuff ordered in June (shave knots) but delivered in July count as a July acquisition? I think not. Although I did not join in, I am going to try the NBJ. It should work out. I have no brushes, razors, or soaps pushing the AD button. I still want to trade some SV Dolomiti for some SV Manna but it can wait.
I was on the waiting list for a wolf's whiskers brush. but I got three nice brushes last month.this month I decided to pass, nbj and the fact that enough is enough. I do like the looks of his work. but I'm good for now.
