Thanks for the prompt response. I just sent Combe an email just when your new post came in.

I am going to the drug store this evening...so will pick up a couple of pucks and store them away for future use. After using Williams for 25+ years seems a shame to not stock up...just in case I run out...

    No problem=) who is combe?

How long does a puck last for you? And maybe you Should check out ebay for a 10 pack or something. How much do you pay for a puck in the drug store

Just as every other shave market area bloom, they cease to make it. Seems the other way around to me. I guess they're not selling enough.

When I was using Williams every day, a puck would last a long time...months. Now that it is in a rotation with 15 other soaps a single puck could last for years.

This is such a mercy! I hear they were forced to discontinue because the International Soap Commission was going to reclassify William's as an industrial product, not for human use...

Williams goes for about $1.50 CDN...it is the most inexpensive soap I have used.

Life is too short to have to work at getting a good lather, especially when there are so many easy lathering, great smelling soaps out there.
    There's a reason.

Yes, probably. More competition in the shaving marketplace.

Either that, or folks are learning there's better to be had.

I've only used vintage Williams. I think it came from the 70's. It was a really good shave.
