I was happy to get my first jar of Catie's Bubbles product. Scent was Rosee du Matin. Love the slickness and lather, but it leaves my skin with an undeniable burning sensation for a few hours. Today was day three of afterburn. Anyone else experience this with CB soaps?
I had a similar reaction. I would get a slight bruning during my third pass. I ended up trading the soap away for someone else to enjoy. I have two other caties bubbles soaps, and don't have any problems. It's probably just a skin sensitivity to a certain fragrance oil. You might want to try another scent. It's best to listen to your skin and not force it. Good luck.
I tried LTV and it burned me pretty bad. I exchanged for Purple Grapefruit and is much better, but still burns. I am also not very impressed by the lather, but it could be the water where I live.
Rdm did the same thing to me. But only on the 3rd pass. I loved the scent so i hated to get rid of it.
Hmmmm.....(begins to frantically scan the pages of TSD to locate a soap with the initials LPV or LTV.....)
Certain people have allergies to certain oils - You probably came up the winner unfortunanetly. Cinnamon Leaf Oil is well known to cause burning I've never tried Catie's Bubbles but I've heard good things.
I guess I am lucky because I don't have to worry about soaps burning or irritating my skin. I love all the Caties soaps. Great lather, scent & leave my face feeling fresh and smooth.
Are Catie's Bubbles soaps very heavily scented? Being overscented could cause a burning sensation, something that is not limited to Catie's Bubbles.
