It's beautiful. Have you had it a while or is it a new acquisition? I just bought a Fat Boy E3 myself last night on the Bay. Pictures were a little blurry, but what I saw looked good and the claim was that it was in excellent condition. Looking forward to giving it a try. I'll post a picture once I get it.
I do enjoy my FB But I'll reach for my Slim or BB first, mostly because of the smaller head and longer handle, I must admit that all three razors give me great shaves. As far as Modern Razors, the Weber PH with Classic handle is my everyday shaver (well mostly)
I have a few FatBoys, Slims and Super Adjustable's(short & long handle). While all three shave well I actually enjoyed the short handled Super adjustable the most I think. That said other than under certain conditions once you get your technique down an adjustable just isn't as needed IMO. My favorite safety razors are Weber DLC w/bulldog handle, Gillette "NEW"LCOC w/griestshaving "FAT" brass handle and a 1924 ER "shovelhead".
Congrats Bill! I saw your other post about getting a FB, and you got a good deal. I'm sure you will be pleased with it, and I look forward to seeing the photos. Thanks for the kind words, and yes, this one is new-to-me from eBay. I purchased several FBs, Slims, and Super Speeds for myself and some friends over the past few weeks on eBay. I'm all set for awhile. This was my first experience with eBay. I tried to be patient, and my experience was positive across the board.
I go back and forth on this...I feel like everytime I switch to one I say " I like this one better"...Im back on my FB after using the slim and BB for a month each and what I have realized is, I LOVE them ALL...still cant believe gillette isnt still making them.
It's a beautiful razor. I hope mine looks as good. It's pretty cool you did some eBay shopping for your friends. I've bought from eBay a few times over the years. Never sold anything, but everything I bought (including the Ibanez Guitar to the left) came through fine and in great condition. I bought my Super Speed and my sample blade packs through eBay. I'm still pretty new at this (my first DE shave was on May 30). I've found tons of great advice on TSD. I'm glad I found it!
