SOTD: '63 Slim Adjustable Astra Super Platinum (1) Simpsons Colonel Mike's Barbershop Thayer's Rose Floid Blue I've had a couple of packs of these Astras in my little blade box for a year plus so I'm finally going to try them; I've heard great things but I've used mainly Feathers for the last couple of years. Today, I let the record influence the shave so a classic record deserves the respect of a classic, classy shave. Happy Monday, all!
•Pal adjustable injector with some blade, I dunno •Aramis shave soap •Omega brush Starting the beard up again (yeah, in summer? crazy) so I just did the neck. Jacked the 2nd pass to High and very very carefully ended up BBS with one tiny nick. •Lucky Tiger followed by Old Spice Soothing Lotion. Just got back from the store and am preparing to mow, so I need to find my spray bottle of menthol witch hazel and stow it in the icebox.

MENTHOL MONDAY 7-6-15 RAZOR: GILLETTE BALL END TECH BLADE: LORD BRUSH: FINE ANGEL HAIR STNTHETIC SOAP: CRYOGEN POST: ARKO MAXIMUM CONFORT BALM/ OSAGE RUB Sorry about the side ways photo. I felt like I had to chisel my face out of the ice the soap was freezing cold! I have some soaps that are almost as cold as this but not quite. my eyes were watering and nose running. I like menthol but I think this may be a little too cold for me and I cant believe I am saying that. The good news is that it did lather great and the performance was awesome in every way. by the time the Osage Rub was used I couldn't feel my face anymore lol. Menthol does seem to keep the irritation down which is cool. have a great shave everyone!!

7/6/2015 Menthol Monday!! Woo Hoo!! Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO Razor: Muhle R41 (2011), H. Boker straight razor Blade: Wilkinson Sword (5) Brush: Turkish #6 Soap: Chiseled Face - Cryogen After: Home made ASB, Osage Rub after shave Cologne: Aqua H2O It is Menthol Monday and I had a cold shave this morning. The Cryogen whipped up a little airy this time, but was still freezing cold. The Boker and the R41 mowed down the 4 days of stubble with ease. The Osage Rub and the Aqua H2O were a fine finish to this Darn Fine Shave. The Cryogen was so cold that after the shave that I could not feel the Osage Rub. Have a blessed day!
