First time using the Old Type today. I picked up the head only that had been replated at a fair price and paired it with one of my favorite handles. I am sure it's me, but I found this razor to be much milder than I expected. Very similar to my New LC. I will spend the rest of the month with this razor.

(Sorry the pic is a little out of focus - I'll work on it) Top Row - L-R - New Standard, Bar Handle New Short Comb, Ball-end Handle Long Comb, Merker 41c "1904 Bottom Row - L-R - Old Type (great-uncle's), 1907 Single Ring (silver), Unbranded OC (nice shaver), German travel razor (gift from friend) Still looking for a Goodwill with the post thru the top and any of the TTO OC's.
I haven't read up on it in a while, but I think the Goodwill 162, 164 and 175 have the diamond reverse studs protruding through the head. They were made in the US, England and Canada. I've had a tough time finding one myself. To finish out my OC's, I'd like that goodwill, the OC TTO Aristo and a deluxe. That's some great looking razors. Can't beat a good OC!!!!
7/04/15 Happy Fourth everyone!!! Got my ATT system in and thought I'd share today's shave with it. Used the Kronos Handle and R2 head. A beauty of a razor. The R2 shaves about like a Bostonian. Bit it was just my first time of using it. Takes a little different angle. The weight is perfect. This is my first stainless steal razor, so it might take me a little getting used to it. So far, I really like. Also got the Atlas Handle and R1, M2 plates.
