1. do you still even have the standard?
  2. Yes, of course! Do you want it?
  3. no, but I'll be looking for a mergress if you don't happen to like it.

  4. I'm a bit surprised we've only had three drops in the first week.Though, not at the dropped. Not bad, not bad at all. I remember NBJ 2014 was when I became a face latherer because I dropped my custom lather bowl. That was a real test of will.
  5. Folks,

I fell off of the wagon:ashamed001:. I could not resist the TSN Paladin LE so I gave it a shot not really expecting to be able to purchase. I believe 97 or 98 brushes were available and they sold out in 1 minute and 37 seconds. The thread had about 45,000 views and almost 1000 comments. It really was luck since so many folks were hitting the server. Now that I have it I am neither happy or sad....just figuring the next move. Once it arrives, I'll look it over and see where things go. It is a remarkable, one-of-a-kind brush that is and was sought after greatly. Maybe August.
  6. I am profoundly jealous! Wanna sell it?

  8. Clarification of the NBJ rules, please...
This 'no buy' policy by which the remainder are adhering to, it is my understanding the guidelines are limited to the purchases of products involved directly in the preparation, the execution and the completion of the shaving process; and has no direct application or limitation placed upon those items considered or deemed outside the realm of the shaving regimen. These NBJ Guidelines are for intended for the benefit of the user(s), and mainly for entertainment purposes only. Violators of the agreement are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from purchases that fall outside the stated guidelines.
So I'm okay if I pick up some razor restoration supplies to finish some in-progress jobs? :D:D:D

  9. I'm glad I've been busy and away from the forums. I had a really bad itch for a kamisori but it seems to have calmed down so I can wait....for now

  10. I am not the authority. my opinion is that raw materials are just raw materials, now if your shopping for blades to restore, that would be foul. but nuts and bolts, washers for blades you already have, those I'd consider ok.
also manufacturer building items for sale, that's business. to make items intended to be sold, that would be ok.
but again I'm not the authority.
  11. I would agree with David. Supplies are ok, but not direct things like razors to restore. But then again, I got shot down for mustache wax.

  12. If I were interested in another brush at this time, this is the one I would have tried to get even with NBJ. Congrats on the brush.

As the guy with the editing capability on the list; I rule in favor of the plaintiffs.
Hobby supplies and what basically equates to hair gel are acceptable expenses and do not fall under NBJ prohibition.

    So say we all.

Oh, and where do I get one of those toothpaste tube thingies???
  16. I have actually have had a urge to revisit old products and see if they are better the second time around rather than wanting to buy new stuff. it does get hard when I hear about new things coming out but maybe this is just giving me more time to get my funds up for august :D

  17. Now is the time to use the old stuff. I'm rotating things every day. If I use something up in July that means I'll NEED (not want) new stuff in August, right?
  18. I'm thinking of doing a PIF - the only ones who will be eligible will be those who, as Masters of Their Own Universe, had the courage to swim against the stream, to go counter to the herd, to chart their own course like Men! - those who did not blindly follow the sled dog ahead of them, but boldly launched out and seized the object of their desire!!!

My fellow NBJ non-conformists, what say yea?!!!
