The Phoenix keeps getting better and better for me. It is climbing up my list of favorite razors. It is close to becoming my goto razor now, and by the end of the month, it probably will be.

My face is so frozen from the Glacial Lemon Chill soap and the Rubby Dubby Doo - what pleasure!

    Ferox, Fougère Fatboy Friday
Outstanding alliterative shave! Ferox is one of my all time favorites and I can now see the bottom of the jar. I'll have to buy more next spring. The Lather Monster easily whipped up thick yogurt from the bloomed soap, and the Fatboy sang through three passes at 9/7/7. This seems to be the magic progression for me to get near BBS without drama. I finished with Fougère tonique, a scent that has grown on me considerably.
    Prep: Van Yulay pso
    Soap: B&M Ferox
    Brush: HIS lather monster
    Razor: '59 Fatboy

    Soap: RazoRock One-X croap
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Bic (1)

Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange

Early optometrist appointment this AM to check on my glaucoma, so I got an early shave in. I set aside the 41c and loaded up the Bamboozled RAKE, which is heavier and slightly more aggressive. Lather was as it always is for me with the One-X: a real joy, both in scent and thickness/slickness. Three bloodless passes got me DFS+ results.

Still Traveling with Mastro Livi Last New Grind

Still on the road and still shaving with this magnificent Mastro Livi "Last New Grind". And my shaving soap, of course. This razor is really amazing: not just a masterpiece to look at, but also an exciting blade with a very long story to tell and brought to life by Mastro Livi. Most of you probably know Mastro Livi "New Grind" straight razors were made by using a stock of blanks he bought from Paolo Fazzini "Pinin" and which story is partly unknown. The blanks were certainly made in the 1930s or in the beginning of 1940s and never used by the original owner for making straight razors. Mastro Livi bought the whole stock - consisting of some hundreds of blanks - tempered and ground, giving them a full hollow grinding, and then sold all over the world. It is always so nice to shave while holding in your hands important pieces of history just like this one, which is also the "last one" of the very long series of Mastro Livi "New Grind" straight razors.
    • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
    • Soap: RazorGuy Shaving Soap
    • Brush: Sephora Badger 491
    • Bowl: Chinese Bowl
    • Strop: Mastro Livi Loom Strop and Hand Palm
    • Razor: Mastro Livi "The Last New Grind", 6/8 Half Hollow, Round Point
    • Post-Shave: Alum Block
    • Post-Shave: Umbrian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • After Shave: Floïd The Genuine

I haven't used Proraso in a long time. This is a fantastic soap! I pulled out some soaps that I haven't used or rarely used in the past year, I have a lot of creams I need to try, I'm not sure if I'll get to everything. The Fatboy is an amazing razor, perfectly made for my hand.
A better tomorrow. Takes your best today!

    SUPER SPEED WEEK
hot water wash with nivea men's and a washcloth
@GDCarrington Olive wood/ custom two band
    Genuine Ogallala bay rum stick
    Gillette super speed(z1)
    persona lab(1)
    ICED virgin island bay rum
    today's shave was work.
I used the ogallala for the first time( thank you box tour). but I'm not a fan of face lathering this particular soap. probably gonna move it to a mug. yesterday's feather died, so it was traded for a lab. three passes left me very nicely shaved.I did a fourth pass with the Clauss, but could find very little to cut. I'm calling it bbs. finished with iced bay rum.
this is the last of my super speeds the z1 shaved better than the b series from earlier in the week. idky. I think z1 is the first year of this model. this shave ends my SUPER SPEED WEEK. there are several more models of the series, but I only have these five. hot y'all have enjoyed them.
also hope y'all did as well, or better.

Fantastic 3 pass BBS shave this morning. As usual the Soap Commander was easy to whip into a slick protective lather. Finished off with a splash of Myrsol F/Extra. The menthol is a nice touch for the hot Atlanta weather. Happy Friday.
