The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #10 Synthetic brush. Two passes with my Gillette English NEW LC razor and a Sputnik blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Pinaud Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    30 Day Rule - July 2015
    July 9th
    Razor - CJB/Gillette New LC
    Blade - [IMG](7) voskhod-teflon-coated.jpg (4)
    Brush - Omega Pro 48
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post - Cold Water splash, Alum, Nivea Original Post Shave Balm

Another two pass day to solidify technique before going for more. Again, first pass with the CJB and the second with the New LC. First pass was again good with no blood and a good feel. Keeping the hand relaxed is the key, as well as continuing to work on angle and pressure with the backward grip on the left side. Getting more confident again. The New and Voskhod whipped the DFS into shape on the 4th shave for the Voskhod. It's reminding me why I like it so much. Tomorrow morning will most likely be another two pass as it's Saturday meeting day and everybody buys cars on Saturday! I've got some real gems on the lot if you all want to come by. We can talk shaving and get you a fine, low mileage (trust me, remember) high quality automobile. Have a great weekend!

    Soap: The Copper Hat Unscented
    Razor: Fendrihan DE
    Blade: Feather
    Brush: Semogue
Aftershave: Hot facecloth followed by Rose Witch Hazel
    Aftershave balm: Coconut oil

This is my first time using The Copper Hat unscented…it arrived in the mail this week and I couldn’t wait to get up this morning to shave! It lathered easily, provided good lubrication and overall it performed very well. It is completed unscented....always a bonus. This one is a keeper…can’t wait to use it again. 10/10 Enjoy your Saturday gents! :chores016:

    Razor – GEM 1912 @JR Reyes
Blade – GEM Stainless PTFE (1)
Brush – Olivewood with TGN Finest Fan
    Lather – Mitchell’s Wool Fat
Post - Witch Hazel and Myrsol Antesol Sample

One of my best BBS shaves ever. This razor is a PIF I received from JR. For those that have never tried a vintage GEM razor, they are real treat to use. Once I mastered the technique, this razor and blade combo give me a shave that I am hard pressed to duplicate with any of my other razors. In my quest to master MWF soap, I decided to make it a Wool Fat weekend. After trying many of my other brushes, I might have found the best brush for me to pair with MWF. The lather today was fantastic. Finished off with some Myrsol Antesol from my sample pack. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

    Chabrawichi 555 Cologne

Although the Cryogen soap felt almost painfully-cold, it's not much stronger than the Glacials. It's trickier to lather and you have to keep adding water bit by bit to get the lather where you want it. This shave felt wonderful and it turned out BBS. The Glacial Wintergreen balm and witch hazel are a big help because it's going to be in the high 80's today. ;) :D

    today's shave
hot water wash with nivea men's and a washcloth
    Ralph Lauren safari badger brush
    Truefitt& Hill 1805
    Muhle r41/ Durham handle
    persona lab(2)
    ICED Aqua Velva ice blue
today's shave was nice. T&H is always a treat, sooo luxurious. bowl lathered with the safari brush. I used a Durham handle on my r41. made it a seriously aggressive shave. I guess it's now heavy, made for a very close shave. even bit me when I didn't pay attention(but not badly).
that sorta ugly curved end on the duplex is very ergonomic, it's pretty nice grip. finished with ICED ice blue.
I had a straight on hand to cleanup. I was so shaved, it wasn't necessary.
hope y'all did as well, or better.
