Well, gotta save what's most valuable with California ranking about 10th in the world compared to all countries as far as value of goods and services are concerned - and of course the highest GDP of any state in the US.

 

I have only been tempted by a couple of brushes that I don't need. Up until this point I have just avoided looking on the bay to avoid the additional temptation.

 

I've been doing pretty well so far. I have been thinking of trades, but I'm actually glad that they have not happened.
I might extend this buying sabbatical for a while, though it is making me look forward to TSD secret santa!

 

I wonder if the shaving industry has noticed a drop in sales.

 

I think I know to what brushes you refer. You should be congratulated for your restraint. Both of them are Classics!

 

Way to go Survivors, you're 11 days in. Congrats. Hope no White Whales swim buy.

 

One was the Zebra Beehive Shavemac D01 2 Band on the BST section of TSN. That brush had been hardly used and the price was fantastic. While I like the Silvertip D01 I have I would like to try the D01 2 Band. There will be another one roll by.

 

The strangest thing happened today. I woke up to an email from West Coast Shaving telling me they had shipped my order for an Omega 10066 brush. Now, I admit I had been looking at that brush to add to my collection for a shorter loft option to my Pro 48 and, yes, I admit that at around 12:30 a.m. today I had been on their website checking out prices but since it's NBJ I, of course would not have actually purchased it. Apparently, though, someone by my same name and even my address ordered the brush and it's on its way to my house. Now, I know all you reasonable, intelligent and amazingly understanding people will not hold that against me since I honestly resisted caved in to the under $10 price and made the purchase, or rather, didn't make the purchase but the other person with my name and credit card did. If I find that person I will certainly give them a good tongue lashing and demand that they keep the brush so it doesn't contaminate enhance my shave den.

Ok, ok, I caved. Actually it was more like "wow that's a good price even with shipping" and WHAM!!! It was done. The truth of the story is I woke up, yes to that email, but also to the sudden realization that I had bought the brush without so much as a thought of NBJ. Well, I can say I made it 11 days. And, I can now place the order for blades I had on hold until August and I have a few shinies I can take a look it I suppose. I will say that since my June was (almost) purchase free with just one order from tryablade.com that month as my only purchase I think one purchase of a brush is still pretty good.

So, @Darkbulb I am at your mercy. And everyone else of course. To those who remain hang in there!! Somebody has to win that PIF.

Last year on NBJ I got my paycheck for the month and went out and purchased some things. Unfortunately, it wasn't actually the end of the month, it was only the end of my pay month.

 

Which really should have counted......hmmmmm....did anyone actually define "end of the month"?

 

I'm assuming it's the last day of July
It also could be defined as the day before August 1st.

 

Ok, now it's just getting sad.
