    Prep: Shower
    Razor: Gillette New SC
    Blade: Rapira Super Stainless (2)
    Brush: Omega 13109
    Lather: Jack Black Supreme Cream
Post: Cold rinse, styptic pencil, Witch Hazel, Proraso Green AS, Gold Bond Moisturizer

Don't know what happened today. Got a few nicks around my chin and one near my left cheek bone. I may have been careless on the 3rd pass.

Maybe feeling groggy this morning affected my shave.

This is only the second new razor I have purchased, all of my others are vintage Gillettes. This razor is just so easy for me to shave with, it's like cheating! 2 passes very fast and I'm done. Longer if I chase the Baby, but I don't do that very often. :bounce015:

Third day now with my Mongoose and I can't get over what an incredible razor this is.
After my first pass (WTG) I am basically 'done' - as in I don't "need" to shave any more.
I do, however, add a second pass (ATG) and when that's completed I am very, very clean shaven with no need for any clean up passes anywhere.

The shave is comfortable and I am very surprised at how easy it is to navigate this rather large razor head around my mouth and under my nose but it is giving me extremely close shaves in those areas as well.

The Feather Proguard is not showing any sighs of dulling so I am starting to believe that you can probably get 10 shaves or so out of a blade.

    Fan-tastic razor.

    Gear:
    Razor: Mongoose, Satin, B3
    Blade: Feather Proguard
    Brush: L'Occitane Plisson
    Soap: Soap Commander Endurance
    A/S: Anherb

Side note: Starting today I can get back to my normal shave routine! My wife was on vacation so my shave schedule was messed up for the last two weeks! I did shave but most of the time, if was a last minute run out of the house kinda shave as it seemed like we were always on the run to go somewhere!

Comments: Today was first shave back to a normal routine! I did I did get one weeper but no irritation today and I ended up with a DFS/BBS shave. I am not normally a fan of Voskhod blades as they generally don't seem to work for me but in the Wolfman I had no issues with the blade at all, at least on this shave! I also had no issues with the Soap Commander as usual, as it is very good soap. The soap lathers pretty easily and gives me very good protection throughout the shave. A great shave today!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

    Thx.

    MdC facial soap
    Gillette Fat Boy
    Feather blade (2)
    Omega Pro 98 boar brush
    Arko
    Two passes plus touch-ups
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm

I've shaved twice this week with the FB on 7. It's a very comfortable near BBS shave for me. I plan to finish the week on 7, and with this set up. I'm not a huge fan of the Arko scent, but it pairs nicely with the Omega boar brush to provide a great shave!

We've experienced torrential rains and flash floods in the past 24 hours - very much out of the ordinary for July. Thankfully, everyone in our family is safe. Have a great Tuesday.

The Arko Stick face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #10 Synthetic brush. Two passes with my Gillette English NEW LC razor and a Rapira Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Pinaud Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Here's another cream which I've neglected foolishly. The Egyptian version of Palmolive Menthol is exactly the same as the kind from Italy in terms of lather, cooling, and skincare but the scent is very different. It performs great and delivers a hell of a face-freeze with the typically wonderful post-shave feeling which Palmolive creams are known for. I'm so in love with the Gold Bond, and the Alt Innsbruck not only smells beautiful - it's full of menthol and feels so good! ;) :D

Prep: Hot shower, Homemade Lavender PSO
    Soap: Baker Street
    Mug: Mid 70's Old Spice
    Brush: Frank's badger
    Strop: SRD 3" ( 20 fabric & 30 leather )
    Razor: Regeldso
Post: Alum, WH, Old Spice Classic

Had a little trouble lathering the Baker Street but it was OK. Regeldso razor takes a wicked edge and shaved really well in 2 passes for a nice DFS. No DE touchup this time as I am starting to get really proficient with straights but still not to BBS level. Struggle with ATG ( just doesn't feel right to hold the edge upside down ) but determined to try a little each shave until I conquer it!

    Have a marvelous evening!

I know that I have not posted for a couple of days. Been having some problems with my hands, and have really not felt like shaving at all. I do not have any pictures to post today.
    Today I literally used three different razors. On the Right side of my face I used my Weber 3pc. S/S Polished Head 85 mm Classic Handle {This is my Preferred Razor & My Favorite} * I also used my "Oscar 11" Custom 24/48mm TGN Super Finest Black & White Resin Handle ** {This is my Favorite Travel Brush & Most Cherished}
I used my VDH Luxury Mug Set. It was filled with a Sample Soap that I am testing for a person that makes soap (more on that later) I used this soap and brush on both sides of my face. On the left side of my face I used my 1967 M-3 Gillette Knack TTO/DE {issued to me in Boot Camp} * On both sides of my face I used a new razor blade that I moved from on razor to the other razor. The razor blade used was a Wilkinson Sword Classic DE Blades Black Container. I also used a Wilkinson Sword Tech3 Disposable Razor.
On one side of my face I used Cold Water, On the other Side I used Warm Water, On my third pass I used Hot Water. Here below is part of my review:

Ease of Lather......Cold Water so so
Ease of Lather..... Warm Water a lot better
Ease of Lather ......Hot Water IN MO Best
Cushion/ Protection I did not use any Pre-Shave Oil at all. There were no Nicks or Weepers & or Razor Burn. IN MO Excellent
Post Shave No razor Burn what so ever even with me having problems with my hands going numb.
Overall Quality, I would venture to say you have a winner here. You can say that you do not need Pre-Shave Oil at all with this soap.
    Brush: I used my "Oscar 11" Custom 24/48mm TGN Super Finest Black& White Resin Handle. {This is my Favorite Travel Brush & Most Cherished}
Razors: I used my "Weber 3pc. S/S Polished Head 85 mm Classic Handle"{This is my Preferred Razor & My Favorite} for first pass.
    Second pass I used my : 1967 M-3 Gillette Knack TTO/DE {issued to me in Boot Camp}
I used Wilkinson Sword Classic DE Blades Black Container For my third and final pass I used Wilkinson Sword Tech3 disposable razor.

Usually I only use I only use either a Wilkinson Sword DE Razor blade or a Schick Xtreme3 Disposable Razor... I no longer use the Schick Xtreme3 Disposables, and have been using only Wilkinson Sword Tech3 disposable razors. For touch up and third pass.

Doing this I got BBS results. On the left side of my face and right side I did shave WTG-XTG-ATG. On my third pass I did WTG-XTG., today I used a new aftershave balm that I received from Tiki Bar Soap . I used Mennen Skin Bracer After Shave. Also this was approximately a four day growth after I used an Conair Beard Trimmer, to shave because I could not hold my DE/SS Razors. I did not want to end up in the ER to have my neck or face stitched up I'm ugly enough as it is.

You are very fortunate, indeed, then. I had to do three passes with it and still needed touch-ups for a decent shave. I actually found it too mild!!! I even used the Feather Pros and it was surprisingly mild. I had three Cobras for some time and was quite comfortable with this type of SE and I know I had the correct angle, but it just didn't work out for me.
I hope you have many more great shaves with it! :)

Glad to hear all this. Keep it coming, especially on the blade use.
("Honey I'm saving money by getting this razor cause I'll be using less blades!")

I'm still on the email list. (Hopefully the call won't come in July!)

+1 with Celestno comments. I too found had too do 3 passes with touch ups and own a Cobra and only need two passes using the same blades. Wanted to like it as I did with the RR stealth but wasn't too be. Glad that it it's working out for you though
