    Lou. I'm not a big 'Brush Guy' —meaning the vast majority of my brushes are usually less than $30, and I've managed to collect far more than I'll ever truly need. I keep a regular rotation of about a dozen; 5-6 boars, 4-5 badgers, and a couple of synthetics. I probably need to thin this herd next month as well…..;)

    today I used my Dovo pearlex.
    I started my shave with the straight.
    three passes, did pretty well, very sufficient for a regular shave. but I was going to church today, so I touched up with the slim, square sideburns, touched the center spot directly under my nose, everything else was pretty clean.
    my straight got twenty laps on my @Drygulch custom strop before, and 20 linen/20 leather after.

    Little Schulze - got this one NOS a couple years ago. It is small and dainty but can be very dangerous
    Soap - Caties Bubbles Le Piminet De Le Vie - one of my most favorite soaps, the scent & lather are right in my wheelhouse
    AS - soap commander balm "passion"
    I always get a BBS shave with this little Gem

    Shaver = Celtic Wosty
    Soap = Maggard Lavander
    Brush = VDH Boar
    witch hazel
    himalayan bay rum

    Another shave...my neck has some whiskers left however my face is dfs/bbs. My focus this month is to get to the point that I don't need to do a DE clean up... I am doing well on my face but my neck is work in progress

    I will be cleaning up my twin duck barbers hone tomorrow and start using that to freshen my edge. I really want to go "old school" when it comes to SR shaving...hopefully i will get there sooner than later.

    Keen Blade and smooth shaves :cool:
