    Razor = celtic wosty
    soap = williams
    brush =vdh boar
    witch hazel
    as = himalayan bay rum
    asb = shea butter /mint, sweet orange,eucalyptus essential oils, it is a good all around cream works on feet,hands and face my wife loves it.

    Well I used my twin duck barbers hone today it did improve the edge however it needs to be used more in the future. 3 nicks today ...not a bad shave today I chased the bbs with a de cleanup on my neck.

    I kinda got lazy and didn't use the tip of the blade like i should have and I could tell the difference at the end of my shave hence the de cleanup.

    Keen Blades smooth shaves Gents :cool:

    Doggone Jamie! SWEET KP!

    My significantly more humble offering today...a beat up old, spine worn $60 Kikuokan frame back. LOTS of work to get this old girl back in the fight, but it is tamahagane, so worth the effort. Like all JW's...a superlative shaver. Some old Japanese barber loved this one for a long time.

    I must add that as I've been consumed with other real world distractions and not hanging out on the razor forums, the first I'd heard of Neil Miller passing was the RIP note on one of Jamies photos. I am absolutely gutted. Such a good, good man. A real friend and touchstone of knowledge to our community. Last I'd talked to him, he was feeling a bit more hopeful about his chronic illness. I simply have no words. Sad, sad, sad.

    Kevin, does your Red Imp strop have the blue linen second strop? That stuff is like angel kisses on a razor edge...I have a Red Imp/Certifyd (700c I think) and LOVE that blue linen...

    Lou I'm with you regarding the Le Pere Lucien the scent is very nice but the performance is nowhere near the Catie's Bubbles, I'm going to offload mine.

    I have three different scents. Have not tried the lavender yet. The Fourgere I have had for a couple years and it lathers well. I will try the Cedre Patchouli with a nice crème. Maybe & & H 1805 or DR Harris Arlington.

    Mike, my Red Imp (700c) does indeed have the bluish linen component. The Red Imp fabric is linen and it's supposedly of a very high quality one can't get anymore. The linen component on my strop is, however, incredibly stiff and not supple at all. I hesitate to apply razors to it in its present condition. Perhaps I need to soften it with a light washing. Not sure.

    Wash it in woolite & add fabric softener. I bet it softens right up

    Lou, you're probably correct. I'll do a test section to ensure the blue imprint logo and text doesn't bleed away...
    Here are some shots of the strop. In the bottom shot, you can see the bluish linen component with the blue imprint. Thick, coarse-feeling and rigid in its current state.
