Conk Amber Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #10 Synthetic brush. Two passes with my Gillette English NEW LC razor and a Rapira Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Pinaud Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Frigid Friday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Derby day 3 Stirling Frozen Tundra SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Alcolado Glacial Menthol Splash YSL Pour Homme EdT Although it's going to be warm outside, my face will feel like it's in front of an air conditioner thanks to the Frozen Tundra soap which packs a POTENT menthol punch with a beautiful, unique scent as well as fantastic lather and plenty of skincare. For the ten thousandth time I'll praise the Gold Bond because it's so wonderful, and the Penguin is a must-have for me at all times. I get a lot of compliments when I wear the YSL eau de toilette - it's so nice when it's summertime here. Very lemony and tropical kind of scent. A great weekend to everyone in advance!

I could have squeezed out more shaves but my desire to try new blades is strong. So the next blade will be Feather Pro Guard which I have heard nothing about. 30 Day Rule - July 2015 July 16th Razor - Feather SS AC/Gillette New LC Blade - (1) (1 1/3) Brush - Omega 10066 (BoS) Soap - Arko Post - Cold Water splash, Alum, The Veg What happens when you wake up on time and immediately think of a customer issue that has to be taken care of as soon as you arrive at work? Well, if you're me you get up and do a quick shower and shave and get to work early to start on the issue so it's resolved. Yep, we're talking wake up, jump up, grab coffee, hit the shower and a two pass with the Gillette New LC and out the door all in under 45 minutes. So, no Feather today. Tomorrow morning is much calmer so I'll be on track again. I did use the BoS today (Omega 10066). Grabbed the Arko for a quick and reliable lather and love the brush already! Great lather and really nice feel. I will probably use the brush with the Fat tomorrow for the Feather. No issues with the finish. It was a DFS on two passes and I finished up with a quiet Alum and The Veg! I'll have the Veg ready for a body splash tomorrow before hitting the 100+ degree sales lot. Summer has finally found St. Louis!

SOTD July 17, 2015 Pre-shave: shower, hot towel, lavender pre-shave oil Razor: Gillette Slim Blade: Astra Brush: Omega Boar Soap: TOBS Natural Post-Shave: Rose WH and coconut oil. Not sure what went wrong today...the wind must have been blowing in the wrong direction or I wasn't as attentive to my pre-shave routine...but I nicked myself ...and then while cleaning up around my neck I nicked myself again... Blade seemed to tug a bit more than usual...and I only have 3 shaves on that blade. A mystery. Didn't bother with a second pass...I figured I should quit while I was ahead. Tomorrow is a new day. TGIF. Tomorrow I am going to try a Derby blade...more comfort, less sharpness.
