I'd like to think that for $28 it will fish, scale and gut it for me. Had I gone for the $39 option it should have cooked it. I think I might be setting myself up for a bit of a disappointment here but let's see.
Also, "returned" to Cafe Verona starbucks coffee after hopping around with a lot of other beans. Realized I still really like it. Also II, bought a new shirt as I am going on 'date 2' with "Girl #2" tomorrow and I don't have time (ok....willingness) to do laundry tonight. It'll be fun...I think...we'll play tourists in the city..I'm even bringing a couple of cameras and we'll do the whole double-decker bus thing, etc. Not sure I can do Fisherman's Wharf though unless there is a substantial amount of beer-in-the sun prior to that. We shall see.
I bought a set of these; my last pair were lost last week. hate it when tools walk off. they are a must have in lawn care/ landscaping. these things are just awesome, they are such a joy to use, you'll bee looking for things to cut. if it'll fit in the jaw, it'll slice. healthier for live plants, cuts hoses clean and even. when they dull, the blade is changeable, and so is the anvil. I highly recommend these for every home. they're built tough, guaranteed forever, and are cost effective(twenty for one, thirty five for two).
Got a Casström. It's a company based out of northern Sweden where they truly know knives. This knife is normally $80-90 so when I had a chance to buy it for $25 after it basically had been opened up and put back into the box I decided I might just pick up fishing. The handle is birch tree and reindeer antler.
That's a beautiful knife, and you got a fantastic deal! Thanks for sharing it. I am interested to know how it works out for you.
Thanks, yeah kinda hoping to get back out and do some actual fishing next year as I've rather missed it. That and the six pack we used to just tie a rope to and have it submerged into the water Good times.
I never had much luck with those. neatest one I saw, plugged in. looked sorta like an oven element. plug in, bury the hot end in a pile of coals/ brickettes, pull it out once their burning.
I I think this is what he means. You put it in your grill, pile charcoal on top of it and plug it in. It gets hot and starts the coals and then you pull it out. Hard to use in a park where there are no electrical outlets.
