Friend has a small dog that has been diagnosed with Glaucoma and it's apparently so bad that their recommendation is to remove the eye. She is, needless to say, rather upset and is getting a second opinion this weekend.
Wow... I usually like it when others share... Rename the little guy Smee or somesuch. Seriously, That's a real bummer.
This here is Ada: She's 1 year old, already had a litter, we adopted her from a local rescue a months ago, not long after she weaned her pups. They say she's a lab mix and I'm sure she has some lab in her, but she's less than fifty pounds and look at those ears, definitely not lab ears. Anyway, she's a sweetheart, and really smart, and good with my daughter but unfortunately seems to absolutely hate other dogs. We had a great basset hound, Mugsy, who was only 8 and unfortunately died of cancer at the end of last year. (Sorry, I guess I'm a downer, too.) Was only a couple months before we started haunting shelters looking for a new dog.
Sorry about Mugsy. We tend to get close to our animals and consider them family, as they consider us family. Now on to Ada. Dogs can be funny like that. I have come across a few like that.
This is Pippin, my Havanese. He has commandeered my daughters old Dora chair. Of course being Cuban he mostly sits around smoking cigars and complaining about Castro.
