7/22/15 - Wool Fat Wednesday !!! 7th Straight Shave...No DE help. The only place I have to work on is ATG on my chin. The blade doesn't want to go smoothly through the hairs. It just stops. So I hit it at different angles. Got it pretty close. Just need to get he technique down. All in all DFS!!! Mitchell's Wool Fat Plisson Synthetic Gold Monkey 6/8th Brut Aftershave

Thank you EVERYONE! I'm alive and doing much better! Maybe I'll shave tomorrow? Or wait until Friday and bring out the Mighty Mühle R41 (2013)? I don't know. Thank you again for all of your well wishes. Kerry
Razor: Gillette Slim (k3) 1965 (5) (3) (original case and blade pack with instructions) Brush: Whipped Dog 30/45 Silvertip Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue Cream: TOBS Grapefruit Blade: Feather (2) Pre shave: Tree Hut Shea body wash Mango Post shave: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera, Jack Black balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1980 glass AS (gift from my father in law) Whipped up the TOB Grapefruit in a minute with the Silvertip. Nice slick cushion and I really like the scent. I really like the slim and next to my FB it is my go to razor. The heavy handle and head gave me a nice smooth shave with no pressure with a Feather blade set on 5. The Shea Mango for the pre-shave helped give me a nice no burn shave. My technique is getting better on my neck, especially with a slick lather and sharp blade on (3), so I can buff the area on the right side of my neck. The Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera felt good on my face and that natural scent was nice and fresh. After cleaning my razor and a little spray of isopropyl alcohol to help dry the innards, I smoothed on some Jack Black, and then some vintage Old Spice, from 1980, ahhhh. Y'all have a good one!
SOTD - Wednesday, July 22, 2015 Cool shower Prep: Homemade PSO Brush: Simpsons Duke 3 Soap: Martin de Candre Fougere Razor: Merkur 38C Blade: Personna Lab Blue (3) Aftershave: Fine Fresh Vetiver
Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam Razor - Gillette New Long Comb Blade - Personna Platinum Chrome (#2) Brush - Omega 10810 Soap - Arko / Proraso Green / Glycerine After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix Result - BBS My worst shave since I started DE eighteen months ago. I've used the LC on many occasions with great results but this blade really must not be compatible with it. Yes, it can bite but I was really careful so there's more going on here than just me. It certainly wasn't anything to do with my überlather as its a proven winner for me. I didn't have a great shave with them on my first blade trial, same for this second trial's first shave too. I can't see me having these in the rotation but I'll have another go with it in a Tech to see what that yields.
I had a fantastic shave today. It was so smooth I had to check there was a blade in. The soap was super slick and performed well. Lather - Arko! Razor - Pils Blade - Vokshod Brush - Pilsson synthetic Aftershave - Nivea Cooling Balm
Love special reserve. I haven't done a comparison yet. ( I totally forgot I had the origanal) will do one soon.
