Doug, I think you would like the FB. It would make a nice addition to your already outstanding collection of vintage Gillettes. I have the Merkur 37C, and I really enjoy it too. I'm sure he 34C is a great shaver as well. I've heard many good things about them.

I told a friend at work how much I liked my New LC, and he picked up a nice one for himself this week for $15. I think he got it at the local thrift shop. It was in the original case with the matching blade holder, and it still had the cardboard Gillette sleeve with the original handwritten price tag of $1 on it. I made him a standing offer of a buck fifty it if he didn't like it. Of course, I would have to wait until August to buy it. :D

    Replay from earlier SOTD thread.

Gents, I spoke to Steve today. He has received a severe concussion and is going to have to undergo treatment before he can come back to using the computer and work on the lathe. He does not expect to see the specialist until mid-August. He will have to see what is recommended and it might be some time before he returns. I told him to just relax and heal up. Steve does thank you for your concern.

    Thursday's planned shave:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/SuperMax Blue day 2
    Synergy Frost_byte SS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Gold Bond Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Osage Rub AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Chabrawichi 555 Cologne

Great set-up for a hell of a cold shave. The Frost_byte soap is very well-named because it's really icy, as well as very easy to get rich, creamy, and stable lather. I had a bit of an issue with the scent at the beginning but since then it's grown on me. It also has a good post-shave feeling which is very cool and comfortable. The Rubby Dubby Doo is an aftershave which every menthol lover should have in his/her rotation - not expensive and does it ever freeze. I'll admit that the Derbys are better than the SuperMax Blues, but I have to experiment once in a while, right? ;) :D
