I do also use Ralph Lauren Safari aftershave and aftershave balm. I guess those are uncommon. They've been discontinued for a while now.
I know Gingers Garden isn't unknown, but I don't hear many reviews of the aftershaves. A few months ago, Shave Busta posted his top 5, and I picked out Gingers Garden "Suede". It is a mighty fine smelling aftershave that lasts for most of the day. Its so sweet and a little on the warm spicey side, almost perfect. It would be perfect with a M-bomb additive . I will look into thier other scents in the future... Too many things on my list right now.
I have an affliction for all aftershaves. But let me ask you... do you mean unusual, but currently available, or are you also including rare vintage items?
Available. Just not the run of the mill, I can get it anywhere type of product. I'm always looking for new names. ASAD is my only remaining disorder.
Listerine (original) was sold as an aftershave long before it was remarketed as a mouthwash. I don't recommend trying the other types of Listerine...they will make your face sticky. Don't ask me how I know.
Here's what I have that I think qualifies. The Skin Bracer is the Italian version. Not many folks use this as an aftershave, but I like it.
That's my problem with Wm. Neumann..would love to try some, but, as you imply, pretty high on the Washingtons($$$$$$).
Wow, that's similar to the Aqua Velva story-as that one began as a mouthwash, then became what it is today(and has been since 1929).
Listerine original can still be used as an aftershave. It does not leave a sticky residue. The scent leaves a bit to be desired though, as does the taste.
Rise has a "Cooling balm" which came out just a few years ago. It does have that original Rise scent, which is nice. Goes good with the new Rise Super Foam.
Like Hodge stated.............I have some Layrite No. 9 Bayrum. But it has more of a clove scent to me than bayrum! Works however and has a nice scent that grows on you.
