A few more things to add to my Old Spice collection Aftershave in the Magic decanter 3 colognes - Fresh, Leather, and Original
It's here, it's here. My new Double Ring is here Now to show some decorum. I bought a lot of six for a good price with this Double Ring in it. It says "Pat Apl'd For" on the handle and does not have a serial number. I believe this makes it a 1903 "Model 100" from what I have read. Can anyone confirm this for me? After its first cleaning.
Correct. U.S. Models were not patented until 1904 and British Models until 1902. Pre 1904 models did not have serial numbers.
And I have been so excited I haven't taken the time to catalog the others. I think one might be a Milord.
Does the one on the right have an RFB? I can't tell from the pic. Examples of RFBs here: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/415155-Rfb-new
If it is you totally deserve a wedgie. Oh and yes, they are all pretty worthless. I'll give you $40 for the lot just cuz I'm a nice guy. PM me details. Done.
I'd be dancing the happy dance. I already show the ones I have off to people who really don't care to see them. I think that one is totally awesome. great eye, and great find.
Yeah, I think an early Gillette DR is a holy grail/white whale for many wetshaving collectors. Good on @mrchick for scoring one These DR/SR oldies also tend to clean up really well....
I unnecessarily shaved today. I'm usually an every other day guy due to having a light beard combined with light hair, but I couldn't wait. The soap is the slickest I've used and it hydrates wonderfully! I used a couple drops of the m bomb with my Gabel's Lime and, wow, what a treat! It seems the oil helps also, and my face never felt better. I'm sold!
I got quite the haul today. My eBay seller sent my Nano Wee Scot 2nd day air, which was nice of them. Also got my thuya wood shave bowl and the Saponificio Varesino Aromatic Fern soap to grate into it. Thuya wood has the most profound odor I've ever smelled. Like Sandalwood, but better. Pics later. I'm at the Roller Rink now.
I actually made one of those lowball, wannabe player offers at <50% of the recommended bid on an auction today...and it got accepted
