Seventh and final consecutive day using this Takehana FEON. Near-perfect 3-pass shave this morning, with the MdC providing the glide.
Thanks, Mike @entropy1049 for sharing the pleasure of this fine J-West! Looks like I've added another razor to the 'gotta git one' list! :D

Engels FWE Special in mint condition - an ebay $39 razor that has proven to be as good a shaver as any I own.
Soap - Razorock Zi Pepino mixed with a small dab of Musgo crème - maybe the best ubelather I ever made to date. First time using Musgo and I really liked it

I have one of those Engles FWE Specials still awaiting 'new life' in the restore queue! Seeing yours, Lou, encourages me to move it further up the list! :happy088:

My W&B Bow was a $40 shave ready eBay purchase and it is one of my favorite straights

You should. This one is incredible. I never honed it either. The seller knows how to prepare an edge

I'm glad you've enjoyed the shaves! Now that you've stuck your toe in the water, I'm curious to see how it affects your shaving arsenal. Lot's of good ol' J-Wests out there that will benefit from your restorations skills!

MOVE IT UP! MOVE IT UP! :D

Just finished my CC2K Clone Shave. I hadn't used this little F.W.E. Special in a coon's age and had forgotten what a great little shaver it is. I must say I wish mine still had the nice green at the ends as does CC2K's :)

2 passes wtg for a DFS.
No clean up required. No need for DE touch up.
This is the way I expected such a highly sought after SR to shave like.
Thanks Mike. You're a miracle worker.

It's even smoother than the new dovo ebony. It is right up there with the Bur and Wade & Butcher Bow.

The Wonderedge is a bit on the small side for my tastes (5/8) but it's fun to break out every once and a while.
