Now that ive tried Truefitt & Hills Rose..it has really won me over. Trumpers and Truefitt for sho...not to big on Taylors.
someone send this man some samples!!!!!!!!!! Not sure if the question is referring to performance or preferred scents or price. Taylors for price. T&H for scent, price and performance. Trumper's...thanks but no thanks. This is partial to some of the offerings. Raf
The two tubs of T&H I picked up recently have both been phenomenal! Used the Almond this morning and the scent is as perfect as it could possibly be. Very nice, sweet, aroma... not too syntheic and not too overbearing at all. Lather is rich and dense, way beyond the performance I've ever gotten out of Trumpers stuff.
Yes, I like the fact that the scent is light, just right. This is also the case with their Luxury soap. Raf
Truefitt & Hill is still the best overall. I tried Trumper's creams in a sample pack not long ago and got good lather and the scents aren't bad, but I keep going back to T&H 1805 and Grafton. I do like the Skin Food from Trumper's (Coral or Limes) but T&H is still hard to beat, though it is pretty expensive.
A PERFECT illustration of YMMV! I like Trumpers creams too, as well as the only T&H I own (Grafton, one of my favorites). I had 1805, but didn't care for the scent (not really bad, just not for me). But Coral Skin Food, on the other hand, is just plain nasty stuff! Really horrible! YMMV...
I hate to hijack here, but I am curious, because this isn't the first time I have seen such a reaction to Trumper's Skin Foods; people either seem to love 'em or hate 'em. What is it that is so horrible, Michael, the texture or the scents, or both?
Ive never really liked any of them that much. I much prefer something like The Gentlemen's Refinery or MWF.
I've tried multiple creams from all 3, and eventually I got sick of all of the GFT and T&H scents. Taylors has the better scents, IMHO. Mr. Taylor is my all time favorite cream - I love that scent so much I bought the cologne. In addition, I also have the Rose (love it, while I couldn't stand GFT Rose), and the St. James. The fact that it is less than half the price is only the icing on the cake.
