    So far, so good.
Loving how little of the WSP soap is needed to get plenty of lather for 3 passes, and love the WSP Barbacool aftershave. Dries fast and cools for a good 30-60min after application. Nice scent also.
    Fatboy on 3.

image.jpg Razor: Gillette Old Type Open Comb Ball End NDC 1920s (from "The Weekender" by Metalfield kit)
Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: TOBS Coconut cream
    Blade: Feather (1)
Pre shave: Tree Hut Shea Body wash Mango
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1980 glass AS (gift from my father in law)
The Gillette Old Type OC is a great razor, with some cool history coming from "The Weekender" kit which is very Art Deco. I pay special attention when I use it. It does give me some burn if I use to much pressure and I do not go over an area more than once on each pass. The pre shave Shea Mango soap helps keep my skin slick. The TOBS Coconut whipped up a thick lather and I screwed in the Feather, and checked the alignment and was good to go for my first pass WTG. A little rinse to see how we are doing and relather for a XTG pass on my face and ATG on my neck. No touch up and we are done. I can feel the burn, but a very close shave. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some Jack Black Balm then some Vintage Old Spice. I will have to use this razor more often, and work on my technique with it. Have a good one Y'all.

Shave of the day, menthol edition

Pre- Hot shower, Anna and Claras Sandalwood bath soap
Soap/cream- The Shave Den Iced Lemongrass Lanolin shaving soap
    Brush- Turkish No6 boar
Razor- WEBER polished head stainless steel
    Blade- Rapira Swedish super steel
Post- Cold water rinse, Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla aftershave lotion and Nivea sensitive cooling aftershave balm

Boom! Very cold shave =D this is the coldest soap I have. It's RIIIIIGHT there on the line to being too cold! It was a little stupid to try a new blade with such a cold soap, but I still got a pretty decent shave.

The Lemongrass smells AMAZING and great performance! My Turkish no6 has broken in pretty well, but it needs a few more shaves before being broken in fully.

Two pass and touch up today. An excellent first pass and if I had to stop, it would have looked acceptable at that point. Still could feel the stubble when rubbing the back of the hand on the neck and face, but it looked much better than many of the shaves I see around the office. :happy102:

Second pass was XTG and this one was incredibly smooth. A couple spots of touch up and I called it a day with a VERY smooth shave that might just pass for BBS, but at least was DFS+

How was the blade. I haven't seen an update on your blade thread for a while, so I was just curious :)

    Good evening,
I overslept this morning, so I had to postpone the shave for this evening, but it was such a lovely shave that I do not complain.
I haven't used the Proraso Sandalwood for over a year, so it was about time. I used my newly acquired Plisson brush from L'Occitane, and although it felt a little backless it did manage to whip up a sufficient amount of lather.
It was a pleasant brush, and I am sure that in time I will get used to it. It felt very soft and smooth and just the right size for such a brush. Looking forward to getting to know it.

I opted for using a new blade of the Iridium Super brand. Since I received a new shipment yesterday I wanted to test it to confirm that it was the real deal. I am happy with the result and will probably order more before they vanish from the face of the earth.

    Razor: Edwin Jagger de 89
    Blade: Iridium Super
    Brush: Plisson/ L'Occitane
    Soap: Proraso Sandalwood
Afterhave: Fitjar Kjakesmurning - Neroli scented

I actually just recently updated it, I think I told you that the GSB has the overhand over the Personna. I would be good with either, but GSB is noticeably better.

I tried Rapira swedish super steel today, an okey blade, but I couldn't get as close as I did with the GSB

lollllllll They feel colder now than before. The manufacturing process was changed a little and it's much better. Tomorrow, I'm using my Glacial Obsidian which is enough to freeze a penguin!
