I'm an academic - I lecture theoretical and applied statistics and a bit of mathematics; and I research statistical methods in and develop statistical software for the environmental, biological, sociological, medical, and economic sciences. Actually, any of the sciences really.

I'm an instructor. I teach law enforcement agencies how to collect criminal statistics that are going to be in turn reported to the FBI. These are the same statistics that you here about on your daily news when crime rate goes up or down. I recently received a promotion. I now also perform quality control on data on our data base system. This is a new automated entry system used by law enforcement agencies to input their crime data directly into our data base. I cover specific areas of Texas. I manage about 100 agencies. My previous region had over 200 agencies and included the DFW metroplex. Prior to this I was a police officer and I served in the US Army Intel Corps.

But I'm also a super hero at night:D

Accountant for a jewelry manufacturer. I'm also in school to learn PC maintenance and networking. Currently, I have my CompTIA A+ certification in PC maintenance and will be sitting for my MS Desktop Support Technician certification. In about a year, I'll be done with my networking classes and will sit for my Cisco certification.

This all helps my current job since no one wanted to touch the computers, server and network.

Jimbo gave everyone a very detailed description of his job but forgot to tell you his official title.......Smarty Pants :D

@ Scorpio - Thank you for your service in the Army.

Network administrator for a non-profit orginization. I'm 1/2 of the IT staff so I'm responsible for pretty much everything from end user support to server build and deployment. Currently in the process of planning a ground up network redesign for our orginization so every IT skill I've ever learned will be coming in to play this year... and I get to spend a lot of money :happy102

JayKay 3000 posts and all I got was this lousy title

    I'm a student.

But atleast now I know where to go when my network crashes, when I need vast quantities of light bulbs, help with statistics (I hated epidemiology), or when I feel the need to purchase an air plane.

You're in good company with the statistics. I've read that 10 out of 9 people have trouble with that subject

What I want to know is what razor you used to shave the head next to you in your avatar. Talk about close!
