I think they find me This is the second time I get stuff sent to me in a clear plastic bag.....sigh...
Thanks Don, you were most helpful and quick with your responses to me, which helps during an auction. My dad just turned 90 this Spring and we all traveled across country to celebrate. I told him about discovering DE / injector shaving. He immediately said - "best shaves I ever had." He'll be tickled to know my son and I both have/use vintage Old Spice now. Cheers! RT
o Contrare mon friar. the verdict may still be out on the rolls but, the stahly may be one of the smoothest razors I've ever tried. I could hear the razor cutting, but it sorta rolled over my mug. so effortlessly so smoothly. I've only had one shave with it, maybe others will chime in. but the stahly is one smooth shaver.
The Stahly head is pure magic when it comes to how smooth it is AND yet being able to destroy that stubble. A fantastic head. The handle....weeeeell.....not so much
I had limited time yesterday and a late mail call. all I had time to do was wash the stahly head. I installed it on my Mr 5 handle for today's shave. I'm sorta surprised that people are not shouting praises to this neat razor. it gave an awesome shave. I'll get around to trying the handle but I'll definitely be using this shave head often. I can only remember you and Gary saying anything about it. it's definitely a quality addition to my den.
Oh they are. If you look around the forums this is often mentioned as one of the smoothest razor heads ever made. I'm inclined to agree with that having tried it.
I was excited to see the mirror still with the set. I borrowed the razor and bank from another set, so now to find some that fit.
S9me I found those at Dollar Tree about a year ago. Two for $1. Staples sells something similar, but they're more expensive. They're the perfect size foe blades.
I'm going to be waiting for TOBS cedarwood, once I get that I'll look for a aftershave to go with that.
In case you can't see my skin colour it is a bright green (with envy) ...very nice find. If ever you should have the need to create more space in your den and feel the need to move an item like this...let me know...
My injectors from eBay made it yesterday, along with an order from Maggard's: The injectors are a Model I and a Model J. The I is in really nice shape, looks like it was hardly used. The J is pretty grungy and, as you can see, the head came apart from the handle while I was trying to clean it up a bit. Spot of glue should fix that. Going to need a few more rounds of cleaning, though. But I'm planning to use the Model I tonight or tomorrow for my first injector shave. From Maggard's, I picked up a bottle of Krampert's Frostbite, and while I was at it a tub of B&M Rhapsody from the clearance section. It's in a TOBS tub, oddly enough: it's a seasonal and after it went out of season they packed up their remaining sample supply into empty TOBS tubs and put it on clearance.
I ordered a jar of Crown King Sacré Bleu. Out of the jar it smells amazing! Aqua Velva. I'll use it tomorrow.
I see you picked up the last "sample". I was in the store a few days ago and saw that on the rack. how did you like the scent? I've heard great things about Rhapsody
