I've been working on my stropping tech and I'm starting to tell a big difference in the razors. A very close and smooth shave today.

This is soft soap I got from @knockoutshave. A really good performer.

How much colder and nicer can a shave be? The Glacial Spearmint soap felt like liquid nitrogen on my face and gave me rich, slick lather with a beautiful scent which filled the bathroom. The Rubby Dubby Doo felt so cold afterwards, and brought tears of joy to my eyes, literally!

    Superb Saturday
Just a great shave with CRSW. The HIS whipped up easy yogurty lather to set up my stubble to face its fate. The Fatboy works best for me when I use a 9-7-7 progression, and today was no exception. Drama free BBS followed by Clubman and CRSW Jd'O balm.

Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Shield Face Wash
    Razor: Gillette British Rocket
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue
    Brush: Stirling Synthetic
    Lather: Crown King Sacré Bleu
Post: Alum. Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate
    Aftershave: Iced Aqua Velva
New soap! Sacré Bleu, fantastic! Great scent! Easy to lather, did I say the scent was great?! Post shave feels wonderful. I'm really going to miss my Rocket, this razor had quickly become my favorite.
Never. That's forever. Seems like such a long time.

Beautiful razor and the fact that it was your grandfather's razor makes it even more special. :happy088:

Razor – Gillette New LC with Triad Helix SS
    Blade – Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow
Brush – Rubberset 400 with Omega Boar
    Lather – Mystic Water Lavender
Post - Witch Hazel & Fine Platinum

Fantastic 3 pass BBS shave this morning. I am very impressed with the Mystic Water Soaps. It has taken me some time and effort to learn how get a good consistent lather. I have found Mystic Water takes more time to load and considerably more time and water to lather but the scents and post shave feel is rewarding. Finished off with a splash of Fine Platinum. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Rapira Stainless Blade (Day 2 on blade, Day 2 on Rapira Stainless)

By the second pass I knew that I would have an excellent shave today. Fortunately, I didn't mess it up on the third pass. This is as close to BBS as I ever get.

How do you like the Speick Active? There doesn't seem to be much talk about it, not like the shaving stick which gets good praise around here.

Date night shave today. A two pass BBS including clean up. The Classic 2 whipped up a great lather in no time. First shave with the Kai Captain Original was very smooth. Smooth seems to be synonymous with the Kai Captain blades as does the number of shaves per blade 7. Finished off with a healthy splash of Cheshire Kyovu. Hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start.

    today's shave
hot water wash with nivea men's and a washcloth
    whipped dog silvertip deep set
    Latoja shave stick
    Rolls razor(46)
    nivea post shave lotion
today's shave was interesting. I cleaned up my recently aquired Rolls. the mechanism provided seemed stiff, probably needs a bit of tlc also. I touched up the blade with apache strata, and hand stropped it on my bench strop. three and a half passes left me with a pretty good shave, not excellent, but better than passable. trouble spots include under nose, point of chin, atg on neck. I think with a little practice one could use this setup exclusively(not me, I'm a variety junky). but one could. finished with nivea lotion.
hope y'all did as well, or better.

image.jpg Razor: Gillette Goodwill #164 1931 (slotted center hole) with original case and blade pack
Brush: Erskine Badger 1947 Birth Year
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: The Body Shop Maca Root cream
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Tommy Bahamas St. Barts cologne
Loaded a new Feather and checked the alignment. It still looks strange with the studs showing through the top cap, but the Feather was aligned perfectly. From the side it looks a lot like my Gillette Old Type Open Comb Ball End, but shaves like my Tech. I whipped up the Maca Root with the Erskine badger, in my favorite mug. First pass WTG very nice glide with no pressure with this light razor. Second pass XTG on my face and then ATG on my neck. The Maca Root was nice and slick and helped get a great shave. A little touchup on my neck, and done. Great razor! Very smooth. The WH felt good and then some JB. And then some St. Bart's. Time to go.... Just got paid today..........
