Waiting on a Schick "Paul Revere" in what looks like great condition. I'm really liking these injector razors...
The Julie and the Odyssey handles look nice. I like Burnt Oak Whiskey and the RBT Color Theme. We'll see what knots they have available when I order but I'd like a TGN High Mountain White and a synthetic knot.
SAD bit hard today. I went to order some injector blades from Connaught (which by the way wow they are cheap there, less than a quarter each in bulk, including shipping), and I thought, well, I'm ordering from the UK, I might as well add something else on while I'm at it. Ended up with a puck of Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica, a puck of Saponificio Varesino Manna di Sicilia, and one of Valobra Fougere.
Yeah, ended today. There's another one right now in box at a lower price but not in the same condition.
The Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica does not disappoint, and has one of the most unique scents out there, rich, earthy and complex -- Like moss, ferns, and wet forest. I haven't tried their other offerings yet. Edit: I compared it to TSD English Fern aftershave milk, and they complement each other nicely. The TSD scent is rather one-dimensional compared to SV's though.
Ah, TSD English Fern, I got a sample of that a while back and always meant to get something full sized in that scent. Might be a good time to do so to go with the Felce.
Omega S10065 brush and a ton of shaving cream samples from Maggards. Mostly TOBS scents that I haven't tried (excited about Eton/Rose). Really psyched to try the synthetic brush, my Tweezerman is on its way out.
After getting three nice knots from granvillage_green, I decided to reorder three more a little bigger. So now I am waiting on three pure badger knots, 21.4 x 70 mm. The last order only took 10 days to get here. Even better than mail from Texas.
They have limited selection, but good prices. http://stores.ebay.com/ganvillage/_i.html?_nkw=shaving+knot&submit=Search&_sid=821933624
Ended up winning this razor lot for 90-something dollars with what could potentially be a Gillette Double Ring. With so many clones and copies out there - and me far from being an expert at Gillette razors - it's hard to really tell for sure and this was the only photo in the ad. At least it has the right number of teeth and not the 'one less' that so many German clones have. I guess....either; a) A relatively inexpensive Double Ring, or b) A relatively expensive lesson with me ending up with three razors that better shave $30 worth each.... We'll see which one next week.
Bought another three-razor lot - luckily for only ten bucks. One, in the middle, is what seems to be a Single Ring with the "D in G" mark on it
Well seeing as how two of them are Gem micromatics they're pretty much in the junk drawer in my book. So I'm pulling for you that it's a real DR
