What are you waiting on to arrive...?

Omega S10065 brush and a ton of shaving cream samples from Maggards. Mostly TOBS scents that I haven't tried (excited about Eton/Rose).

Really psyched to try the synthetic brush, my Tweezerman is on its way out.

 

After getting three nice knots from granvillage_green, I decided to reorder three more a little bigger. So now I am waiting on three pure badger knots, 21.4 x 70 mm. The last order only took 10 days to get here. Even better than mail from Texas.

 

Does your chinese connection have a homepage with knots and prices?

Ended up winning this razor lot for 90-something dollars with what could potentially be a Gillette Double Ring.
With so many clones and copies out there - and me far from being an expert at Gillette razors - it's hard to really tell for sure and this was the only photo in the ad.
At least it has the right number of teeth and not the 'one less' that so many German clones have.

I guess....either;
a) A relatively inexpensive Double Ring, or
b) A relatively expensive lesson with me ending up with three razors that better shave $30 worth each....

We'll see which one next week.

Well seeing as how two of them are Gem micromatics they're pretty much in the junk drawer in my book. So I'm pulling for you that it's a real DR

O I guess I mean seeing as how they're so plentiful and cheap. The shave isn't very great for me either, so ergo, not desirable. That's why I'm hoping you didn't spend too much on them hehe

 

If I would call out three razors that I won't regret getting rid of I'd say;
1) King Oscillator,
2) Durham Duplex 300, and
3) Gillette Fatboy (sorry, it's just not that special to me - I much prefer the Slim)

The jury is also still out on the Pils...love the look but it just feels way too mild and requires too many touch up jobs....

It's not a bad razor...just nothing special and not a razor I ever reach for. The Slim I find myself picking up though.

Fatboy=meh.

They're nice, they're just not all that. I like the heft.

 

I like the heft and adjustability. It's many razors in one.

 

Got a tub of TSD Floid Blue type soap and aftershave splash in the works.
