My wife bought me an Old Spice gift pack cos she knows I like it. But she calls it The Devils Smell. I'm guessing she's not a fan.

wouldn't the moms "approve" because they were around when Old Spice was popular. It seems like it would be 11 out of 10 young people disapprove. The newer OS is not nearly as good as the original classic IMO.

That's why moms disapprove. It wasn't as good as the classic, haha.

I was surprised to find out that a number of my nephews, in their 20s, use Old Spice products. So I guess the 20s is the new 60s!:happy069:

@ObiDon, that's probably because they use the Body wash and Deodorant, which are terrible.

I always liked the deodorant-the original one, that is.

Great to see that. Hope they use other vintage stuff, too.

I'm surprised OS hasn't come out with a version for females, since that's who it was originally intended for.

    Interesting. Thanks.
Sorry for sounding snarky about wanting a reference. :o Really just curious, that's all.

I was as well, I went looking myself.:)

Seems the company started as a women's toiletries provider in 1937 then quickly changed gears and became a men's company in 1938.

Not at all, my good sir. I used to come across the early women's flowery sets and was baffled by them until I read up that they were actually first. Which does bring me back to my original puzzlement...marketing SOMETHING for females would seem a no-brainer, plus they could appeal to history (at least one year's worth, 1937).

11 out of 10 disapprove....can we say that is akin to "3 thumbs down"?

That was weird,...that "smellcome to manhood". I'd hate to think that could be the beginning of the end to what once was a class manly product.
