image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Ok, heres my new squeeze....maybe you cats can kind of put a date on this baby...I know it's an early one...But when did they stop them from opening? And Billy, where would you put this date wise...I'm thinking between '35 and '38...But I'm not an expert on these E's...

Yeah, that's about spot on Sir....The Type D was made for only a few months between 1935 - 1936 and the Type E 1 injector came out on the fall of 1936 it would appear....The Type E 1 opened & had a flat spring like the type D ....The Type E 1 was only made for a short period to about 1937 it would appear where it was replaced with the early Type E 2 with the rounded spring that you are demonstrating here....

It would appear that the Early type E 2 that you have came out on 1937 or there about....:chores016:

These milder injectors perform really well with NOS Schick Injector Blades....The Dogs Danglies actually....I have noticed we are going through quite a dry period with them at the moment....There will come a time when you cant get them....;)
I have stocked up on NOS Blades and got an Armed Guard on them....:bang:

Yeah, I got 11 x 5 Injector magazines ....That is x 55 NOS Schick Stainless Injector blades in total for just under a Tenner from an EU Seller....I was having kittens all week as I knew they were hidden from a mainstream search....These were made in Holland an all....The Dutch made Schick Injector Blades are even better than the USA made ones...Santa came early this year...;)
They hold their crazy sharpness for a longer period of time...:chores016:

Always good to have reinforcements Sir...Hey, I found something out today ....I found a 4th Type E 2 that was made in the USA ....Me thought there was only 3 different Type of E 2s....It must have been a really late one that wasn't made for long before the Eversharp Takeover....;)
Tsk Tsk.....Got it wrong again..... :chores016:

Got to concur with that one Sir....The first full bore rifle that I shot was an old Enfield from WWII and boy was it smooth....Smooth as icing on a cake....:chores016:

I'm just getting used to mine. they are pretty neat.
a little labor intensive, but the finer things usually are.
most of my reference was from old shave den threads. just wondering if any were still here.

I have some personna hair shaper blades. I can't remember where I got them, I've had them awhile. I read that they were the same as the personna injector blades. I had a pretty bad shave with them. Does anyone know for sure if they are the same?

I love the vintage personna injector blades. Thought I would try the modern ones but I they are like the hair shaper blades, no thank you.

I cant say for sure Sir....I haven't used them, but I have heard some folks say that they can get a rough shave out of the hair shaper blades....Current Personna Injector blades are the same as Ted Pella blades that have been rebranded....Personna make them....Current Personna blades are good value for money...The blades are fine...They are not the same as the Vintage Personna blades though because I have a stock of NOS ones...
My stock of NOS Personna blades are a superior blade for sure...:chores016:
