I am happy to report that the seller gave me a more than fair refund on the broken brush. All is good
This came in the mail today from the Italian Barber: This is my second bottle of RazoRock Problem Solver Lime AS Splash - full of essential oils and leaves a fresh soothing feel after a shave. This is my first go with the Cella. Looking forward to trying it out in the morning.
I think you'll really like Cella. It's such a solid performer [to me]. The only almond scented croap I like more than Cella is 3P but it's a bit tougher to find sometimes.
Usually I prefer to leave as little evidence as possible but this one I have been waiting for a long time. I ordered it March 27. I wanted a western grind Kamisori with a round point and there was only way I could find to get one, to custom order from Portland Razor Company. This is my first razor from them so I am excited to see how it shaves. It will be put to the test tomorrow. It is a Siren but modified to be a kami.
First, a little shout-out to my dear friend Rod, from Stirling Soaps: Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmat Allah al barakatu. Rakem wahad, al khidmak azim - koulshi tamam! Rakem etneyn, enta rajil tayib wa karim. Allah ikhalik! Now, my order arrived today and here's what was in the parcel: 1) 1x Stirling MITA shaving soap (such wonderful stuff!) 2) 1x Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill shaving soap (magnificent!) 3) 1x Stirling Glacial Wintergreen shaving soap (a veritable treasure!) 4) 1x Stirling Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel (cherished treasure of mine) 5) 1x Stirling Glacial Wintergreen a/s balm (delightful and COLD!) 6) 1x Glacial Lemon Chill bath soap (beautiful scent like the shaving soap and FRIGID!) 7) 1x Stirling Glacial Spearmint bath soap (OMG, I already love it!) 8) 1x Stirling Glacial Spearmint shaving soap (FROZEN face is guaranteed!) 9) 1x Stirling Glacial Obsidian a/s balm (oh la la, is this stuff ever killer-cold, but nice!) Unless I exercise some control this stuff will all be used up by the end of the winter! (just kidding!)
Got a shipment in from Connaught: 100 injector blades, Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica, Saponificio Varesino Manna di Sicilia, and Valobra Fougere. The two SV soaps smell fantastic. I transferred the pucks into empty Barrister & Mann tubs I had around and will use one of the two for my shave tonight. The Valobra Fougere... it smells just like something, but I can't put my finger on what exactly. I dunno, not what I was expecting and I don't love it. But maybe I'll warm up to it when I lather it.
Type M Schick Injector. The only flaw is the numbers for the adjustable dial are missing. Other than that it's perfect. Still has a blade in it so will need to clean it up a bit and sterilize. Still has two original blades with it. I've ordered more of course as I'll probably let the vintage ones stay right where they are. This razor will see some use in September.
