Injector & SE Party !!!

I'm just trying to find a decent new blade. I guess will have to buy a personna injector to see for my self.

The Chinese Schick Injector blades are a lovely blade Sir...They are a bit more expensive but I find them as sharp as the hyped up Feather Pro Super blades and in my experience hold their edge longer....Amazon sells them in the UK & USA and there are a number of other outlets in the USA that have them....

 

Yeah...I can get those locally at a Drug store. I was just seeing if the cheaper Personna blades were any good. It's hard to say any are good once one get hooked on the vintage blades.(Schick or personna)

 

I have to concur with that one Sir....I am an NOS Injector Blade "Fanatic".....The NOS Schick/Gillette Platinum Plus blades are the Dogs Danglies...

 

The Gillette plats and the Schick Plats are both Super.....I used to think the Schick Plus Plats were the blade to judge all blades by.....Guess I still do...

I'm not comparing with nos Schicks....but the new Rebranded Personnas, ie. EMS or Ted Pella, are better for me, than my favorite DE blades....And thats saying something, and the price of EMS injector blades is excellent for a very good blade, if not the all time best....

 

Well, I have 7 Injectors, & 9 SE's....soooo; I'm in!

Hey Sir.... I cant believe you've not had a Go with your Schick F Type yet....In my experience its the best Schick of them all....Its aggressive, smooth, forgiving and does just about everything except buy you a pint...You have got to be "Tediously Carful" when loading a blade and then some cause they are queer to say the least ....Hell, even GeoFatboy got caught out when loading a blade and he thought the thing was buggered the same as me...
The F Type doesn't shave anything like a Schick....

Sigh...I know...it's sitting there on the shelf in the morning...looking at me...in a very accusing way...
I need to find the time (read: willingness) to clean it up soon and put it to use...

The F type is in a class of its own as far as Schick Injectors are concerned! You described it quite well!

 

Ahhh Maaannn...Now I HAVE to HAVE ONE! Whose got an F type for Trade?
So whats the deal? Is it more aggressive than an E2 or what?
Lets hear where it fits in the Schick Compendium aggressive wise....

Ok now I am going to have to clean it up this week and put it to the test!
I'm thinking a gentle cleaning with some Hagerty's polish should suffice.

Mine looks a bit tired/dull on the brass(?)


...and I'd love to see it as shiny as @Billyfergie 's

Man! Thats one shiny razor....what a beaut'.....Thats a full blown 'Calendar Razor' right there....Which month ? Miss.?

 

BTW...I just got one scary close, smooth shave with this E2.....are you guys expecting me to believe the F type is gonna shave closer than this early E ? I'm afraid, shaving with an injector more efficient than this...It might exfoliate my skin to where there would actually be a noticeable weight loss....lol!

 

I haven't seen the hair shaper blades, but I wouldn't think so....I've seen other hair shaper blades...

The nos Personna 74 tungsten steel injector blades might be the best blade in the history of shaving...They're just not normal....Don't even think of comparing those with anything older or newer....and the nos Schick Plus Platinums are next in line (for me)...the best of the normal injector blades and better than anything since....

Now the New Personna rebrands like Ted Pella and EMS are not like those.....BUT I think they are better than my favorite DE blades.....now you just have to get past the cheap plastic injectors themselves....Use a two finger hold, and left the back of the injector a hair as you gentle rack the slide...Lift the back til the blade slides in easily...Thats the key...Everything should be cool....if you gorilla it, it can fall apart and spill blades everywhere...Just be cool...
