  1. Ok.
It was a stupid thing to say.

Subconsciously we must come to forums to be enabled.

(I still have the EJ89 I started with)

  2. That was not enableing. This is enabling.

If you want to borrow a straight and a strop, let me know. (Not even kidding.)
  3. Nah, not stupid.
It never occurred to me either, when I started here, how bad (?) an influence that being on this site would be - since many on here came from the "getting away from cartridges will help me save money" perspective. HA!

I can't blame the enablers though, I developed my Acquisition Disorders all on my own! :happy068:

  4. Very generous offer.

But postage to the UK would probably be quite high.

Thank you though, it is very much appreciated.
  5. I thought this was how it works: I spend money on wet shaving paraphernalia so that I can save money on carts. Isn't this sound logic?
  6. Isn't it ironic, you talking about others being a bad influence? :D

Great shave tonight, however, this brush is a hair loser. DFS so all is good. Was going to use #8 setting tonight, but I forgot. I will do this tomorrow. Have a good night.

  8. Why sir, you cut me to the quick! I resemble that remark!

  9. Ditto! No leather skin here..
  10. Heck, I can only shave every other day. My skin won't take daily shaves.
  11. Surely it was merely a weeper and not cut to the quick.

  13. August 27

    Gillette Slim G3 (9)
    Feather blade (1)
    Edwin Jagger XL Synthetic
    Trumper's Coconut cream and glycerin
    Two passes
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Trumper's Coral Skin Food

I'm on a mission to get a better shave with my Slim set on 9, and today's shave was the best yet. I loaded a new blade and checked the alignment (perfect) and exposure (plenty). I paid extra attention during the whole shave, and I skipped the touch-ups. All things considered, I was very happy with the result. A close, comfortable shave with no nicks or weepers. Two more shaves with the Slim, and I'll move on to my Mongoose for my September focus.

  14. And here's a Kentucky tie. I'll take a 10-piece bucket, extra crispy.

  15. I really should be shaving every other day also, but if I don't get crazy and go with a 4,5,6 pass shave I'm okay. 3 & out..
  16. I dig the tin!
  17. And here is an Arizona Necktie.

  18. If we ever have a TSD meet-up, I already have my tie picked out.

  19. That also doubles as a New Mexico neck tie.
  20. When I have to shave daily on business trips, I do single pass, and still have major irritation by day three.
